Then, roll the dough onto a lightly floured work surface to a thickness of ½ inches. Cut biscuits out of the dough by using a biscuit cutter and place then onto the backing tray. Bake them for 8-10 minutes, or until pale golden-brown.
In a larger bowl add the sugar and enough water to create a smooth mixture, then add the food coloring and give it a good mix. When decorated you biscuits, set them aside until the icing hardens.
