Make Food Ahead

Pick the foods that you can make ahead and avoid the stress of making everything at the last minute. You can even go for the meals that freeze well and make them well in advance, and just defrost before the brunch.

Make a Plan

For those dishes that need to be prepared on the day of serving, such as some baked goods, you need a plan that you will follow no matter what. Know when your guests will arrive and plan accordingly.

Something for Everyone

Make sure there’s something for everyone, considering their diet and eating habits. For example, have a few vegan options, allergen-free options, etc.

Leave Some Extra Time

It’s a good idea to get up early and leave some extra time in case anything goes wrong. Best case scenario, you finish it all according to the plan, and you get to relax over a cup of coffee before your guests arrive.

I have photographed Social Hideout few handfuls of times so if anyone understands content fatigue it’s me, so I always try to keep things exciting. I admit sometimes I walk into a venue and think… How am I going to make it different again??? Anyway so this one time at Social Hideout I didn’t have enough room on the table to capture all the food and I was about to give up, but then I had the thought about making a V table, throw some flowers on the floor and the rest is history. Sure it makes @cherri_cupcake look really really really hungry, but I think the photo does look way more interesting, and she loved eating everything!
