]]> It isn’t strange for TikTok users to get obsessed with a new food trend that then takes over social media like a storm. This appears to be happening again, this time with two-ingredient ice cream bread.

The #icecreambread is trending on TikTok for a while now, and videos with this hashtag have racked close to 10 million views so far. And it isn’t hard to see why the two-ingredient ice cream bread became so popular.

First of all, it is painfully easy to make. All you need to do is combine a pint of your favorite ice cream with a 1 ½ cup self-rising flavor and give it a good mix. After preheating the oven to 350F, you get your “batter” in a bread pan, bake it for 45 minutes, and that’s about it.

]]> There is nothing sadder than seeing a carton of ice cream that has obviously been sitting on the counter for far too long. Melted ice cream can be heartbreaking, as re-freezing it really won’t salvage it. Instead of wasting perfectly good ice cream, you can actually turn it into a marvelous sweet bread! You only need two extra ingredients, a boxed cake mix, and eggs, and you can make an amazing cake in no time. Try different combinations like chocolate cake mix with peanut butter or cherry ice cream, or vanilla cake mix with pistachio or mint chocolate chip ice cream.

Method

  1. Pour the melted ice cream into a bowl with the cake mix.
  2. Crack the eggs in a separate bowl in case you get any shells in it.
  3. Pour the eggs into the bowl with the other ingredients are stir
  4. If you want to add anything else in like nuts or other flavorings, now is the time to add it.
  5. Pour the batter into a well-greased cake pan, and bake for about 30-35 minutes.
  6. Stick a toothpick into the bread and once it comes out clean it’s ready to be pulled out of the oven.
  7. Wait for it to cool, and then ice it with your favorite icing!
