First, peel the orange, the lemon, the lime and put all the peels into a pan. Then add the sugar and the orange juice.
Split the vanilla pod, scrape out the seeds and place it all into the pan. Then, break the cinnamon stick into two pieces, add the cloves, the star anises and lastly, grate some nutmeg.
Pour half a bottle of red wine and leave it to simmer until the sugar dissolves. Then bring it to boil. It needs to become syrupy consistence.
Then add the rest of the wine and simmer it for 5 minutes.
And voila! Your perfect mulled wine is ready!
