SuSo is hidden in a secret alley off St Marco’s Square. This also makes it a great way to escape the busy crowds of tourists.

Upon arrival at SuSo, you’re met with a queue of Venetians which goes outside the door. The service is quick though, so the wait isn’t long and leaves plenty of time to pick your flavors.

The staff is incredibly friendly and speaks English. The dark chocolate and raspberry cone with an added chocolate praline scoop is great. The mango gelato, which was creamier than any sorbet we’ve ever tasted. The praline scoop was amazing. It has big chunks of dark chocolate and was so rich.

Overall, if you want to try genuine Venetian gelato which incorporates authenticity with new and creative flavors, SuSo is the place.
