]]> No summer is complete without watermelon. This hydrating fruit is best eaten fresh, but what if you can’t consume an entire watermelon in a single day? Storing smaller pieces in your fridge is still an option, and these are the best ways to get it done.

Large Pieces

If you want to stop your watermelon from losing its sweetness, cutting it into halves or quarters is your best option. If you go down this road, make sure to cover the pieces with plastic wrap unless you want them to pick up odors from other refrigerated foods.

Smaller Slices

Not everyone has a fridge that’s big enough to store large watermelon pieces. If that’s the case with you, cut your watermelon into smaller slices, and store them inside an airtight container for up to four days.
