If you’re due to host a dinner party, then delighting your guests is sure to be a high priority. With these crispy parmesan potatoes, you and your guests can enjoy a surprisingly scrumptious appetizer that will get your evening off to the right start.

Prepare The Ingredients

Preheat your oven to 400°F while tossing potatoes, two tablespoons of oil, and two teaspoons of salt into a large bowl. Brush some olive oil onto a baking sheet before layering it with sprinkles of parmesan cheese. Go back to the bowl, mix well, and cut the potatoes into slices. Place the potato slices flat onto the tray on top of the parmesan.

Cook

Place the baking tray into the oven and cook for about 25 minutes. Once the bottom of the potatoes is golden and crispy, you can remove the tray from the oven. Finally, it’s time to layering on the finishing touches.

Prepare To Serve

Once your parmesan potatoes are ready, stir up a mixture of sour cream, garlic, chives, and a teaspoon of salt. Finally, as your guests arrive, serve your crispy parmesan potatoes on a tray alongside your newly-concocted dip.

If you want super crispy roasted potatoes, it’s usually best if you just take any regular potatoes and dice it up small. However, it ends up not necessarily looking super beautiful, and if you want something that tastes incredible but also still looks very aesthetically pleasing, you can use baby potatoes in this simple recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of baby potatoes of any color
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of salt plus more for salting water
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder
  • Pepper to taste

Recipe

  1. First, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Once it’s at a boil, salt the water and add in the potatoes. You want to first boil the potatoes a bit because it’ll start the cooking process and give you a crispier potato in the end.
  2. Boil the potatoes for 10-15 minutes, drain the water, and dry them off if necessary with a towel.
  3. Put the potatoes back into the pot or a bowl with the olive, salt, garlic powder, chili powder, and pepper to your taste.
  4. Toss well and then put the potatoes onto a sheet tray and spread evenly.
  5. Roast at 400 F for 45 minutes or until the skin of the potatoes are super crispy, and you’re done!
