Avocado Frappuccino is the latest addition to Starbucks Korea’s menu, but it’s not entirely new. It actually premiered three years ago and now it’s back!

The delicious beverage is the combination of everything that defines the millennial generation so it’s no wonder the company expects it to be very popular. We can only hope that it comes to all the other Starbucks because, let’s be honest, South Korea is pretty far away, even for such an amazing drink and an opportunity for the most millennial Instagram photo ever.

Would you try the Avocado Frappé if you got the chance or do you think this is a bit too much?

One of the hottest food trends that’s sweeping the globe right now is Korean barbecue.

So, what is Korean barbecue and what makes it different from traditional barbecues that most westerners are familiar with?

Korean BBQ, at its essence, refers to a traditional Korean method for preparing meat. In this preparation, meat is cooked and prepared at the table on a gas or charcoal grill. Once the meat has finished cooking, it is removed from the grill and served directly to the plates of diners.

There are lots of popular meats that can be prepared in Korean barbecue. The most common meat variety that is prepared in a Korean barbecue is called bulgogi. This meat is made from prime cuts of beef that have been marinated in soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil. Yum!

Korean barbecue can be prepared with lots of different meats, however. Korean BBQ is most commonly prepared with different cuts with beef, but another way to enjoy Korean barbecue is with pork belly. This dish is called samgyeopsal and is one of the delicacies of this genre.

So, if you have the chance, be sure to try Korean barbecue at least once. It’s radically different from most western types of barbecue, but it’s delicious and truly unique!
