]]>There are plenty of recipes on TikTok for this unusual side dish, but we liked the one from TikTok user @sweet.audra.brown the most. Her video recipe received more than three million views and got quite positive reactions from those who tried it.
To make melted onions, you’ll only need some onions, melted butter, salt and pepper, and a muffin tin. That’s it.
First, peel the onions and cut them in half. Place the halves inside muffin tin cups and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pop in an oven at 425F for 20 minutes.
Take the muffin tin out of the oven and brush each onion with melted butter. Return to the oven for another 40 minutes. You’ll want to brush them again with melted butter towards the end of those 40 minutes. Finally, take the onions out of the oven, let them cool for several minutes, and serve.

]]>McDonald’s lasagna was showcased by several users on TikTok in the past, but it really took off when hosts of the Australian radio show JAM Nation with Jonesy & Amanda recreated it for their social media followers earlier this year.
In a video posted on social media, hosts Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jones and Amanda Keller can be seen placing four Big Macs in a deep tray and topping them with a large serving of French fries, tomato sauce, maple syrup, and a whole bag of shredded cheese. But this is only the beginning.
After getting the ingredients flattened down in the tray, Jones and Keller add cooked bacon, ham, and a generous drizzle of maple syrup. Next, a layer of chicken patties from McDonald’s chicken burger is added to the dish alongside more tomato sauce. Everything is then topped with slices of American cheese and baked in an oven.
Jones and Keller end up trying the dish and actually don’t seem to hate it. So maybe there is something to it. You can watch the entire thing below if you are interested in making it yourself.

]]>TikTok user @eczemmma recently showcased a jello salad that her grandmother Sheila made for a family dinner in a video posted on social media. Sheila shares the recipe with her baffled granddaughter and lists some ingredients that no one would think to put together, like lime Jell-o, mayonnaise, pineapple, and olives.
“You’re gonna love it!” promises Sheila towards the end of the clip, which was viewed 5.4 million times since being posted in late July.
Since many TikTokers have never actually heard of jello salad, @eczemmma decided to share a follow-up video and do a taste test. After trying the dish, she explained that it was not the worst thing she tasted.
“If you have issues with textures, this is not for you,” @eczemmma explains.
The follow-up video also got a lot of attention online but also confused internet users even more.
“The fact that the smallest amount of that is leftover is what baffles me. lol,” @xopaulinap wrote.
