If you don’t have the energy to make dinner but want something homemade, this sheet pan sausage and pepper recipe will fit you perfectly!

Ingredients

  • 4-6 Italian sausage links of the variety of your choice
  • 1 yellow or orange bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Recipe

  1. First, start by preheating your oven to 425 F.
  2. Line your sheet pan with a Silpat or parchment paper so nothing sticks to the pan.
  3. Cut the onion in half and then into half-moons and put them onto the pan. Drizzle with about 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt and pepper them, and roast them for 3-5 minutes and then move them to one side of the pan.
  4. Cut up both the peppers into strips and place them in the middle of the sheet pan. Drizzle with 1-2 tablespoons of olive, and season them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  5. Finally, put the sausages in the open spaces on the sheet pan but make sure they’re not touching each other.
  6. Roast for 20-25 minutes until sausages are brown, the onions are translucent, and the peppers are slightly charred.
  7. Serve right off the sheet pan or with toasted rolls and enjoy!

Cooking sheet pan dinners is always the best way to go if you don’t want to clean up a lot after dinner, or really do that much cooking at all. The idea is that everything cooks on the sheet pan in the oven, so all you have to do is lay everything on, season, and cook!

Using proteins like fish is always a good way to go, because they don’t take long to cook and turn out super well every time, just like this sheet pan salmon dinner!

Recipe

  1. Start by lining your sheet with parchment paper and preheat your oven to 400 F.
  2. Take out your salmon and put the salmon on the sheet pan.
  3. Season it with whatever flavors you want, such as salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon. You can also get a little more adventurous with some chili powder, and the zest of a lime to make it really flavorful.
  4. Then, wash and chop off the ends of asparagus spears and put them on the sheet pan as well. You can give the same seasonings to the asparagus as you did to the salmon.
  5. Pour olive oil over everything and toss so the salmon and asparagus are both covered.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes and dinner is served!
