Preparing your own sides is also a great way to make sure that everyone’s dietary preferences are able to be met. As summer comes to an end and we get ready for the final cookouts of the season, these are the side dishes we’ll be making on repeat.
When most of us think of feta cheese, fresh veggies, and Kalamata olives, we refer to it as a Greek salad, but the “official” name for this combination is horiatiki. This pasta salad recipe is packed with Mediterranean flavors and is a certified crowd-pleaser at any summer gathering.
Getting your greens in has never been so easy and delicious. This cucumber salad by Minimalist Baker incorporates fresh dill and mint and is ready to serve in just 15 minutes. It can be made with either regular or vegan feta and is naturally gluten-free.
The prettiest salad we ever did see. This healthy take on classic potato salad features pink and purple radishes and bite-sized potatoes and is made without mayonnaise. Finish with some spring onion for even more color.

1. Dice the vegetables. Leave ¼ of feta cheese aside and slice the rest into cubes as well.
2. Put the veggies and cheese in a large bowl.
3. Add the sunflower oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
4. Crumble or grate the remaining feta on top.
5. Dig in.
