]]>If you like Oreos, you have to try this recipe by French food blogger Alice Pagès. Chocolate brioche buns serve as a fun substitute for the outside part of the cookie, while a rich macadamia nut cream makes for a healthier alternative to the iconic cream filling. It’s also 100% plant-based, so it’s a great choice for vegans or anyone searching for a lighter option.
“Best” is a bold claim, but in typical Ambitious Kitchen form, the recipe delivers. Made with fresh pumpkin and plenty of pumpkin spice, these rolls have a warm, comforting flavor that will feel right at home on any holiday table. You can even batch prepare them and freeze to have on hand all season long—trust us, you’ll want to.
Larisha and Andrew at Make it Dairy Free are masters when it comes to creating unique and tasty cinnamon rolls, and their Dark Chocolate Cherry recipe is no exception. Perfectly sweet and chocolaty with a tangy cherry frosting, they’re our go-to whenever we’ve had enough cinnamon but still want something indulgent for breakfast.

Smear a layer of creamy hummus on your toast and top it with sliced cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, olives, and crumbled feta cheese. Finish it off with a sprinkle of fresh herbs like parsley or dill for a refreshing and vibrant start to your day.
Spread a thin layer of pesto on your toast and layer it with slices of fresh mozzarella cheese, ripe tomatoes, and a few basil leaves. Drizzle with a balsamic reduction or a splash of extra virgin olive oil for a classic and satisfying breakfast.

]]>Egg sandwiches, frittatas, and French toast are the perfect breakfast foods to cook on the grill and with a cast iron on the side. Your foods will have a smoky flavor, making them even more delicious.
Grill pre-cooked meats that need just a bit of reheating and a bit of crust. Bacon, pork, ham, and scrapple cook amazing on the grill and they’ll have the crispy, smokey exterior had juicy center you love.
Bread is one of the best foods to grill because it will get the grill marks and smokiness from charcoal. Scones, bagels, biscuits, flatbreads, and croissants are delicious on the grill.
Experiment with condiments, marinades, and seasonings on your food for a different flavor profile. Don’t be afraid to be bold!
Elevate oatmeal and yogurt with grilled fruit. Grilling fruits enhances their flavor, making them sweeter. Plums, peaches, pineapple, bananas, pears, and mangoes—there are tons of fruits that taste yummy on the grill.

]]>If you’re looking to make something a little more out-of-the-box and filling, here are three great bagel creations to try.
Smoked salmon and cream cheese are a classic combination, pairing the salty and smoky flavors of the salmon with the creamy, smooth texture of cream cheese. If you like salmon and aren’t afraid to eat fish early in the day, this is for you.
Avocado and egg go so well together, and inside of a bagel is no exception. We like making over-easy eggs and letting the partially-cooked yolk spill out all over the avocado and into the bread, making for a soft flavor explosion.
Have a sweet bagel on your hands and no idea what to do with it? Why not make a Nutella bagel? Spread this chocolate hazelnut cream inside of a bagel like a cinnamon sugar bagel and enjoy.

]]>Now that I’m an adult and I have a bit of a more refined palate than I did when I was young, the monotony of french toast with maple syrup can get a bit old. So, I like to branch out and experiment with other toppings.
Here are some suggestions for putting a twist on a classic plate of french toast.
Raspberries and dark chocolate go together perfectly, and plopping them onto a slice of french toast takes the flavor game to the next level. The tartness of the raspberries ensures that the dish isn’t too sweet. It’s decadent and delicious.
One of french toast’s building blocks is cinnamon, and there’s nothing wrong with amping up that flavor a little bit! I like making rich cinnamon butter for my french toast, especially in autumn when it’s in fashion.
Want to turn your french toast into a dessert? Putting a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top makes for a decadent treat that works so well. If you’re feeling crazy, you could even sprinkle some chocolate-covered espresso beans on top!

]]>What you may not know, however, is that pancakes are incredibly tasty and simple to make in your own kitchen.
Here’s a recipe that’ll show you how to make your own homemade pancakes in a flash. This recipe yields about 6 pancakes.
Begin by preheating a griddle (or, if unavailable, a stove) to medium heat, coating the pan with butter.
In a large bowl, mix together white flour, salt, brown sugar, and baking powder. Be sure that all ingredients are blended well.
Next, in a medium bowl, pour in the 12 ounces of whole milk. Proceed to beat the two eggs and two tablespoons of melted butter into the milk, blending the two together.
After this has been done, pour the bowl containing milk and eggs into the large bowl containing the dry ingredients. Do this gradually and stir the mixture as you go until you’re finished. You can add more milk and/or butter if the batter is lumpy or dry.
Finally, pour the batter on the griddle and cook on both sides until golden brown.
Enjoy!

]]>Get a skillet and add some butter to it. Turn on the stove to medium heat.
Combine the vanilla extract, eggs, orange zest, sugar, cinnamon, and milk together. Mix them well.
Get the croissants and start dipping each half in the egg mixture. Leave them in for a few seconds before placing them in the skillet.
Cook the croissants for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. When they’re all done you can start putting together the French croissant toast.
Place one croissant half on the plate. Top it off with the berries then add the other half. Finish off with maple syrup and whipped cream.

]]>Toast is a classic breakfast option that can be made in a huge variety of ways and with tons of different ingredients. Its flexibility and its hearty nutritional value makes it a popular option for breakfast for people all over the world.
If you’re looking for some new toast ideas, look no further! Check out these three toast ideas for your next morning meal.
This is a popular breakfast toast in Spain. It consists of a piece of bread that has been toasted and then topped with olive oil. On that, strips of serrano ham and tomato are added to make a savory breakfast treat.
Another savory toast idea is a caprese toast. To make this, add fresh mozzarella, slices of whole tomato, and basil on top. You can even use a conservative amount of balsamic reduction to top it off. Yum!
I especially like this toast on top of multigrain bread. The banana and honey combination is healthy and sweet, so the relative lack of sweetness of this whole-grain bread balances out the flavors. You’ll love it, that’s for sure.
