Here is how you can cook up a mean Irish beef stew that will be a great centerpiece for your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Ingredients:

  • 16-ounce bottle Guinness
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 2 pounds beef chuck stew meat cubes
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 russet potatoes, cut and peeled
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • Chopped parsley

Instructions:

Here is how you can cook up a mean Irish beef stew that will be a great centerpiece for your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Ingredients:

  • 16-ounce bottle Guinness
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 2 pounds beef chuck stew meat cubes
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 russet potatoes, cut and peeled
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • Chopped parsley

Instructions:

  1. In a large Dutch oven, heat a pot of 2 tablespoons of olive oil on medium heat. Season the beef cubes with salt and pepper and add them to the pot, heating them for 10 minutes. Place the beef chunks on a plate when cooked.
