Making tomato soup from scratch usually requires a lot of effort, which is why most people prefer to either order it at a restaurant or get the canned version. However, there is an even easier way to enjoy a bowl of comforting tomato soup and you don’t even have to leave your home for that. TikTok food creators have come up with a recipe that allows you to make tomato soup in a few minutes using just three ingredients.

How to Make 3-Ingredient Tomato Soup

There are several variations of three-ingredient tomato soup, but the one we liked the best comes from Irick Wiggins.

To start things off, Wiggins combines one cup of marinara sauce with 1/3 cup of cream (or milk) and 1/3 cup of broth. He then mixes it and microwaves it for three minutes. That is it.

Wiggins’ video with the three-ingredient tomato soup got a lot of attention on TikTok, receiving 17K likes and mostly positive reactions.

Say “YUM” if you would eat this 3-Ingredient Tomato Soup 🍅🥣🤤 To make it: Mix 1 cup marinara sauce, 1/3 cup cream (or milk) and 1/3 cup broth. Heat until warm. I microwaved it for 3 minutes & enjoy 👌 Pro tip: Blend everything together for the best consistency For the quesadilla I just took a low carb tortilla and fried it in butter with American cheese in the middle 😋

There is also a version from @jen.heffer, who uses the same ingredients but combines them in a pot using an immersion blender and heats the soup on a stove. She also recommends adding some seasoning to the soup, including garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper.

(Long caption) If you’re ever wanting a grilled cheese with tomato soup but arent wanting canned tomato soup or to spend over an hour in the kitchen for homemade tomato soup, i HIGHLY recommend getting your favorite jarred tomato sauce, some chicken broth (or you can do water with chicken bullion, thats what i did!) & heavy cream (or milk) then blend it, (if you dont have an immersion blender, you can all everything to a regular blender first, then add to the pot) of course season to your liking! I added in roasted garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, Tony’s & a tad bit of my favvv (ranch seasoning lol) This can also be a very cheap dinner for those needing it! My favorite jarred sauce at Walmart is less than 2$ the bread i got from walmart was 1$ (next time i make this, I’ll be using the cheese singles, which are much cheaper than the cheeses i used today!) if you dont have chicken broth or chicken bullion on hand, you can hust use water! Realistically you dont need water, but i prefer tomato soup to not be so thick! & the heavy whipping cream is completely optional as it is the most expensive item.   2. Warm up a large skillet of olive oil over medium heat. Pour the ground beef into the skillet and cook, breaking the meat apart with a wooden spoon. Cook for about 8 to 10 minutes until the beef is browned. Season with salt according to taste
  3. Add garlic and onions to the skillet, cooking for a further 4 to 5 minutes. Continue doing so until the onions are translucent.
  4. Pour the pasta water into the skillet along with cream, cheese, soup, and tomato sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for another minute.
  5. Combine the noodles and the beef mixture in a baking dish.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes, until bubbly.

Nicoise salad is a classic French dish originating in Nice. Along with the delicious taste, the varied textures of this dish help it to stand out from the crowd. This recipe is ideal for a warm summer day when you want a fresh, light meal that is super satisfying. This recipe provides two servings and can easily be doubled. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 can tuna
  • 2 eggs
  • 8-10 new potatoes
  • ½ cup chopped green beans
  • 8-10 cherry tomatoes
  • 4-5 iceberg lettuce leaves 
  • 1 small red onion
  • ½ cup pitted black olives 
  • ¼ cup capers
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl combine the olive oil, vinegar, mustard, and basil leaves and leave to one side. 
  2. Boil the eggs for 6-7 minutes and then add to a bowl of cold water. Leave to one side. 
  3. Bring a pot of salted water to the boil and add the potatoes. After 7 minutes add the green beans. Simmer for 3-5 more minutes and then drain and put to one side. 
  4. Roughly chop the lettuce leaves, halve the cherry tomatoes, finely slice the red onion, and add everything to a large salad bowl. 
  5. Add the olives and capers to the bowl and mix well. 
  6. Chop the potatoes into quarters, add them and the green beans to the salad bowl, pour over the dressing, and stir well. 
  7. Divide the salad into two bowls. Drain the tuna and scatter half over each bowl.
  8. Peel the eggs, slice them into quarters, and place half on top of each bowl. Season with salt and pepper and serve.

Potatoes are an incredible ingredient. There are so many things you can do with them, and they’re a great staple carb to have around. This recipe for a potato and veg hash is super tasty and so easy to make. It’s ideal if you have leftover vegetables and potatoes, but if not then it’s still a great choice. This dish pairs perfectly with fish or meat, or with beans for a vegan or vegetarian option.

Ingredients: (Serves 4)

  • 2 pounds potatoes
  • 1 large brown onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 large carrots
  • ½ white cabbage
  • 1 large can of sweet corn
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. If you are starting from scratch, then chop the potatoes into 2-centimeter pieces and add them to a pot of salted, boiling water. Leave to simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, finely slice the onion, garlic, carrots, and cabbage. 
  3. Heat some oil in a large frying pan and add the onion and carrot. Fry for 10 minutes. 
  4. Drain the potatoes and then add them and the cabbage to the pan. Add the thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. 
  5. Fry for a further 5-10 minutes and then add the garlic and the drained sweet corn. 
  6. Continue to fry for another 10-15 minutes, stirring regularly. You want to see plenty of browning on all the vegetables and the potatoes. 
  7. Serve hot with your choice of protein.

Ingredients:

  • 3 zucchinis
  • 6 large tomatoes
  • 1 large eggplant
  • 3 yellow bell peppers 
  • 1 large yellow onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, torn up
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare all the vegetables by peeling, trimming, and chopping them into small chunks.
  2. Heat a little oil in a large pot and add the chopped zucchini. Add a little salt and gently fry until slightly browned and then put to one side.
  3. Repeat this with the bell peppers and eggplant. 
  4. Heat a little oil in the pot and add the chopped onion. Season with a little salt and pepper and gently fry until soft and slightly browned. 
  5. Add the garlic and the thyme and continue to fry for a further 5 minutes. 
  6. Add the sliced tomatoes and cook until it begins to resemble a sauce. 
  7. Remove from the heat and then add the cooked zucchini, bell peppers, and eggplant. 
  8. Pour the extra virgin olive oil in and gently stir to ensure the sauce and oil are mixed throughout. You can arrange the veg into slices or leave all mixed, it’s entirely up to you.
  9. Return to hob on low heat and place a lid on. Leave to simmer for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Remove from the heat and stir through the basil leaves.
  11. Leave to stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Even with St. Patrick’s Day having passed, you don’t have to let go of the cheer and festivities that come with it. Naturally, food forms a central part of what makes this holiday so fulfilling. Here is how you can make Irish sausages that are sure to satisfy your palette.

Ingredients:

  • 8 cooked Irish sausages
  • 6 scallions
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 1/2 pounds peeled russet potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 cup dark stout beer
  • 1 1/2 cups beef or chicken stock
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Boil a pot of salted water. In a separate heatproof bowl, mix 2 teaspoons of salt with butter and half-and-half. Put the potatoes into the salted water and cook for 20 to 25 minutes until very soft.
  2. Once ready, remove the potatoes from the pot and drain before putting them in the butter mixture. Mash the potatoes in the bowl and add scallions.

  4. In the same skillet, cook the onions and the remaining oil. Cook for about 30 minutes, until onions are caramelized.
  5. Sprinkle garlic into the skillet and stir for about 1 minute. Add the beer, stock, and mustard to the mix and stir, lowering the heat to medium-low. Cook for about 10 minutes.
  6. Mix the sausages with the gravy for about 2 minutes before serving.

TikTok food creators have come up with a recipe that allows you to make tomato soup in a few minutes using just three ingredients.

How to Make 3-Ingredient Tomato Soup

There are several variations of three-ingredient tomato soup, but the one we liked the best comes from Irick Wiggins.

To start things off, Wiggins combines one cup of marinara sauce with 1/3 cup of cream (or milk) and 1/3 cup of broth. He then mixes it and microwaves it for three minutes. That is it.

Wiggins’ video with the three-ingredient tomato soup got a lot of attention on TikTok, receiving 17K likes and mostly positive reactions.

There is also a version from @jen.heffer, who uses the same ingredients but combines them in a pot using an immersion blender and heats the soup on a stove. She also recommends adding some seasoning to the soup, including garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper.

(Long caption) If you’re ever wanting a grilled cheese with tomato soup but arent wanting canned tomato soup or to spend over an hour in the kitchen for homemade tomato soup, i HIGHLY recommend getting your favorite jarred tomato sauce, some chicken broth (or you can do water with chicken bullion, thats what i did!) & heavy cream (or milk) then blend it, (if you dont have an immersion blender, you can all everything to a regular blender first, then add to the pot) of course season to your liking! I added in roasted garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, Tony’s & a tad bit of my favvv (ranch seasoning lol) This can also be a very cheap dinner for those needing it! My favorite jarred sauce at Walmart is less than 2$ the bread i got from walmart was 1$ (next time i make this, I’ll be using the cheese singles, which are much cheaper than the cheeses i used today!) if you dont have chicken broth or chicken bullion on hand, you can hust use water! Realistically you dont need water, but i prefer tomato soup to not be so thick! & the heavy whipping cream is completely optional as it is the most expensive item.   2. Warm up a large skillet of olive oil over medium heat. Pour the ground beef into the skillet and cook, breaking the meat apart with a wooden spoon. Cook for about 8 to 10 minutes until the beef is browned. Season with salt according to taste
  3. Add garlic and onions to the skillet, cooking for a further 4 to 5 minutes. Continue doing so until the onions are translucent.
  4. Pour the pasta water into the skillet along with cream, cheese, soup, and tomato sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for another minute.
  5. Combine the noodles and the beef mixture in a baking dish.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes, until bubbly.

Nicoise salad is a classic French dish originating in Nice. Along with the delicious taste, the varied textures of this dish help it to stand out from the crowd. This recipe is ideal for a warm summer day when you want a fresh, light meal that is super satisfying. This recipe provides two servings and can easily be doubled. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 can tuna
  • 2 eggs
  • 8-10 new potatoes
  • ½ cup chopped green beans
  • 8-10 cherry tomatoes
  • 4-5 iceberg lettuce leaves 
  • 1 small red onion
  • ½ cup pitted black olives 
  • ¼ cup capers
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl combine the olive oil, vinegar, mustard, and basil leaves and leave to one side. 
  2. Boil the eggs for 6-7 minutes and then add to a bowl of cold water. Leave to one side. 
  3. Bring a pot of salted water to the boil and add the potatoes. After 7 minutes add the green beans. Simmer for 3-5 more minutes and then drain and put to one side. 
  4. Roughly chop the lettuce leaves, halve the cherry tomatoes, finely slice the red onion, and add everything to a large salad bowl. 
  5. Add the olives and capers to the bowl and mix well. 
  6. Chop the potatoes into quarters, add them and the green beans to the salad bowl, pour over the dressing, and stir well. 
  7. Divide the salad into two bowls. Drain the tuna and scatter half over each bowl.
  8. Peel the eggs, slice them into quarters, and place half on top of each bowl. Season with salt and pepper and serve.

Potatoes are an incredible ingredient. There are so many things you can do with them, and they’re a great staple carb to have around. This recipe for a potato and veg hash is super tasty and so easy to make. It’s ideal if you have leftover vegetables and potatoes, but if not then it’s still a great choice. This dish pairs perfectly with fish or meat, or with beans for a vegan or vegetarian option.

Ingredients: (Serves 4)

  • 2 pounds potatoes
  • 1 large brown onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 large carrots
  • ½ white cabbage
  • 1 large can of sweet corn
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. If you are starting from scratch, then chop the potatoes into 2-centimeter pieces and add them to a pot of salted, boiling water. Leave to simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, finely slice the onion, garlic, carrots, and cabbage. 
  3. Heat some oil in a large frying pan and add the onion and carrot. Fry for 10 minutes. 
  4. Drain the potatoes and then add them and the cabbage to the pan. Add the thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. 
  5. Fry for a further 5-10 minutes and then add the garlic and the drained sweet corn. 
  6. Continue to fry for another 10-15 minutes, stirring regularly. You want to see plenty of browning on all the vegetables and the potatoes. 
  7. Serve hot with your choice of protein.

Ingredients:

  • 3 zucchinis
  • 6 large tomatoes
  • 1 large eggplant
  • 3 yellow bell peppers 
  • 1 large yellow onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, torn up
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare all the vegetables by peeling, trimming, and chopping them into small chunks.
  2. Heat a little oil in a large pot and add the chopped zucchini. Add a little salt and gently fry until slightly browned and then put to one side.
  3. Repeat this with the bell peppers and eggplant. 
  4. Heat a little oil in the pot and add the chopped onion. Season with a little salt and pepper and gently fry until soft and slightly browned. 
  5. Add the garlic and the thyme and continue to fry for a further 5 minutes. 
  6. Add the sliced tomatoes and cook until it begins to resemble a sauce. 
  7. Remove from the heat and then add the cooked zucchini, bell peppers, and eggplant. 
  8. Pour the extra virgin olive oil in and gently stir to ensure the sauce and oil are mixed throughout. You can arrange the veg into slices or leave all mixed, it’s entirely up to you.
  9. Return to hob on low heat and place a lid on. Leave to simmer for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Remove from the heat and stir through the basil leaves.
  11. Leave to stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Even with St. Patrick’s Day having passed, you don’t have to let go of the cheer and festivities that come with it. Naturally, food forms a central part of what makes this holiday so fulfilling. Here is how you can make Irish sausages that are sure to satisfy your palette.

Ingredients:

  • 8 cooked Irish sausages
  • 6 scallions
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 1/2 pounds peeled russet potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 cup dark stout beer
  • 1 1/2 cups beef or chicken stock
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Boil a pot of salted water. In a separate heatproof bowl, mix 2 teaspoons of salt with butter and half-and-half. Put the potatoes into the salted water and cook for 20 to 25 minutes until very soft.
  2. Once ready, remove the potatoes from the pot and drain before putting them in the butter mixture. Mash the potatoes in the bowl and add scallions.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook sausages in the skillet until brown on all sides, for about 6 to 8 minutes. Put the sausages on a plate.
  4. In the same skillet, cook the onions and the remaining oil. Cook for about 30 minutes, until onions are caramelized.
  5. Sprinkle garlic into the skillet and stir for about 1 minute. Add the beer, stock, and mustard to the mix and stir, lowering the heat to medium-low. Cook for about 10 minutes.
  6. Mix the sausages with the gravy for about 2 minutes before serving.
