]]>Salads don’t have to be daunting just because they’re healthy. And they don’t have to be boring, either! This all-green salad is from TikTok user @bakedbymelissa. It involves an appealing green salad dressing and can be eaten with tortilla chips (or rice cakes) like salsa. Let’s check it out.
TikTok star @bakedbymelissa starts the recipe by finely chopping half of the green cabbage head, three cucumbers, and a bunch of scallions. She combines the veggies in a bowl before starting to work on the dressing, which will take the salad to the next level.
For the dressing, Melissa combines two cloves garlic, one shallot, ¼ cup lemon juice, ¼ cup chives, ¼ cup olive oil, a splash of rice vinegar, some walnuts, fresh basil, baby spinach, nutritional yeast, and salt to taste in a blender. She blends the ingredients into a smooth consistency before pouring the dressing over the cabbage, cucumbers, and scallions.
The final result looks quite delicious, and we think it could work great as a healthy dip. Check out @bakedbymelissa’s video with full instructions below.

Avocados have been used as alternatives to butter in many recipes because of the rich flavor. You can add a bit of lemon if you’d like, but all you have to do is cut up your avocado and toss it with your salad to make sure the avocado is all over the leaves. Yum!
In our option, there’s nothing tastier than extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Not only is it low in calories, but the combination is also savory and slightly sweet which pairs well with many different types of salads.

Let the mixture sit for a period of 12-24 hours, shaking on occasion to encourage the flavors to blend together.
After the mixture has sat for a sufficient amount of time, it’s ready to go into the refrigerator.
