If you don’t have time or don’t have any fresh peppers in your home, that doesn’t mean that you can’t make spicy guacamole. In fact, why not just add some hot chili flakes? This will give your guacamole a bit of a kick, and all you have to do is reach into your spice pantry to grab it!
You don’t have to use jalapeno peppers to give your guacamole a spicy kick. In fact, any old type of chili pepper will do. Whether red or green, feel free to chop one up and throw it into your guacamole to make it spicy.

Sugars can quickly help neutralize spicy flavors. Adding some honey, maple syrup or sugar to a dish can tone down the heat. Be careful, though—you don’t want your dish to go from too spicy to too sweet!
Throwing in some acid-like ingredients such as vinegar, lemon, or tomatoes can cut through the intense heat of the dish.
If you feel like you’ve tried everything and there’s still no way to cool down your meal, don’t worry. Serving the spicy dish with rice, pasta, potatoes, or other starchy foods can make the spiciness a little easier on your guests.

]]>If you go to a Mexican restaurant, you have to be prepared to try a wide variety of burning hot sauces, salsas, and dishes that are as delicious as they are spicy.
Here are some of the top Mexican hot sauces that one can find and add to give a kick to your next dish.
Cholula is a tasty and well-rounded hot sauce that is spicy, but not too hot. This sauce is produced in Jalisco, Mexico and is made out of arbol and piquin peppers, giving it its characteristic red color.
While Tapatio isn’t exactly from Mexico, but rather from Mexican immigrants that began to produce this sauce in California, it’s the least hot of these options, but its rich red pepper flavor adds a smoky bite to any dish.
El Yucateco is known for its characteristic green color, which comes from the extra spicy habanero peppers that are used in its production. Use this sauce sparingly if your taste buds aren’t used to heat!
Valentina is the last on this list, but definitely not the least. Produced in Guadalajara, it’s a citrusy, spicy sauce that adds an interesting tangy hot flavor. It’s especially great with seafoods like shrimp tacos.

]]>If you love tacos, you need to make this spicy coleslaw to put on top. Just shred some red and white cabbage, green onions, red onions, carrots, and jalapenos, and put them together in a bowl. For the dressing combine mayo with brown mustard, apple cider vinegar, a little sugar, celery salt, cumin, and cayenne and black pepper. Pour over the slaw and prepare to be amazed.
Infusions are not only great to offer guests, but to give as gifts as well! Just fill a jar with vodka and slice up some jalapenos and put them right in. Let it sit for about a week in a cool dark place, and then start mixing the cocktails!
These fritters come together in a food processor, so it really couldn’t be easier. Pulse eggs, flour, parmesan cheese, salt, corn, green onion, and jalapeno together. Spoon in the dough into a pan with oil and fry on both sides.
