The pumpkin-everything season is closer than you think, even though the temperatures may still be high where you live. One of the recipes you absolutely must try this fall is so simple and yet delicious. You only need two ingredients for the pumpkin brownies that will be the hit of the season at your home this fall.

Ingredients

Brownies

  • 1 box brownie mix
  • 1 can pumpkin puree (15 oz.)

Frosting

  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a 9” square baking pan with parchment paper and spray some cooking spray.
  3. Whisk together brownie mix and pumpkin puree in a bowl.
  4. Pour into the baking pan and bake for around 25 minutes. Leave to cool.
  5. To make the frosting, simmer heavy cream on medium heat then add chocolate chips. Whisk until your ganache is smooth.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese and sugar with a hand mixer. Add ganache little by little until you’ve combined everything. Add a pinch of salt too.
  7. Frost brownies with the frosting you prepared before serving.

Butter is an amazing addition to many dishes and a tasty sandwich ingredient, but is there a wrong way to cut it?

A tweet by Maria Stephanos with a photo of the way she cuts butter started a debate in which people shared their opinions on this topic. “I know. It’s wrong. My family hates it and I’ve been doing it for years, but please tell me at least one of you cuts your butter this way… Anybody?” she posted.

The comment section includes hundreds of opinions of people who wanted to weigh in on the topic. “I’d need a separate stick of butter than you if we lived in the same house,” one commenter wrote. “This is blasphemy,” added another one.

Others agreed with Stephanos. “I do most of the time. It is easier and then it is ready for corn on the cob,” a woman named Deb LaValley wrote.

Today contacted a cooking expert Lisa McManus of America’s Test Kitchen who confirmed this is the superior way of cutting butter, as ugly as it may look. She explains how she always forgets to take her butter out of the fridge up front so this is the best way to get a thin slice for the toast.

Our body is mostly made of water (up to 60 percent!) and that is why we need to drink a lot of it to stay healthy. Water is needed to maintain our body functioning normally and it’s very important that we drink an optimal amount of water every day. Also, if we don’t drink enough of it, our skin condition is most likely to deteriorate.

For those who prefer not to drink plain old water, because it has no taste or simply can’t resist the many tasty beverages out there other than water to quench their thirst here are 3 recipes that combine fruits and water to make a delightful drink.

Strawberry, basil, and lime water

½ cup strawberries, sliced

¼ lime sliced

3 basil leaves, minced

This one will surely make you drink more H2O, a delightful flavor and a lot of healthy vitamins. It will replenish your whole body with instant strength and delight.

Lemon, rosemary, and raspberry water

1 lemon, sliced

½ cup raspberries

5 sprigs rosemary

Place ingredients in a large pitcher of water and ice and allow to infuse in the fridge for at least an hour, and enjoy.

Watermelon, mint, and cucumber water

1 cup watermelon chunks

¼ cup cucumber slices

3 leaves mint, muddled

This is an extraordinary combination of flavors, but it is very useful to make you enjoy and stay healthy.

  • Medium cauliflower, cut into 8 1/2-inch-thick slices/steaks

  • 1/4 cup shelled pistachio nuts
  • 8 1/2-inch-thick slices sourdough bread
  • 8 slices melting cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions
