You probably think roasting asparagus is pretty straightforward and you are not wrong. Still, there are a few pointers to keep in mind to get the best possible results.

Prep Your Asparagus

Snap or cut the woody ends of your asparagus. Coat the spear with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper. Allow some space between spears so that the hot air can circulate and create crips and beautifully roasted spears.

Cook It

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The amount of time it will take for the asparagus to be ready depends on the size of the stalk. The official sizes of asparagus range from small to jumbo.

Extra-large stalks can take 8-10 minutes to be fully roasted, while standard stalks take about 6-8 minutes. Oven roasting is not recommended for small stalks because they will become brittle and stringy.

Healthy soup recipes are so tasty and easy to make. If you want to keep your diet on point, you have to try this creamy asparagus soup.

Ingredients

For the creamy asparagus soup you should get:
5 to 6 cups chicken broth
2 pounds green asparagus
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 chopped large onion
1/4 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

Prepare the asparagus by cutting the tips from 12 pieces, 1 1/2 inches from the ends. Save them on the side. Also, cut the pieces of asparagus into 1/2-inch pieces.

Get a pot and cook the onion together with 2 tablespoons butter at low heat. Once it’s soft, you can include the pieces of asparagus. Season with salt and pepper.

Cook them for 5 minutes, while also stirring. Then, pour 5 cups of broth, let it simmer and cover the pot. You will need to check the asparagus and make sure it’s very soft. This should take 15 to 20 minutes.

While you’re waiting, put the tips in salted boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Take them out and drain the water.

When the asparagus is cooked, place it in a food processor or a blender. It should be smooth and with an even consistency.

Pour it back in the pan, then mix it with the heavy cream. You can add more broth if you prefer it thinner.

When the asparagus soup starts boiling, add the rest of the butter and lemon juice.

Decorate with the asparagus tips in the bowls.

Just fry some eggs and some bacon, making sure to leave the bacon fat in the pan. Sauteé your asparagus in all that fatty goodness until it’s tender and then sprinkle with paprika or an herb of your choice.

Asparagus With An Italian Twist

Any pasta dish is amazing on its own, but why not spice things up with a little asparagus? Once again, this recipe is so easy, screwing it up would take some serious effort.

For this round, we’re going to make a nice, creamy vegan lemon sauce to accompany our pasta and roasted asparagus. To do so, sauteé some minced garlic in a skillet. When it’s just about to brown, add three tablespoons of flour and start whisking.

After 30 seconds, whisk in 2 1/2 cups of almond milk 1/2 cup at a time. Add salt and pepper to taste and then top the finished sauce onto your pasta. To garnish, squeeze a little lemon juice over it all and add in the roasted or grilled asparagus.

The best part about asparagus is that it fits in nearly every cuisine. Even if it doesn’t you can find a way to make it work. Asparagus isn’t always a Chinese staple but it works surprisingly well with this Szechuan-style salad.

Unlike the other recipes, this dish involves boiled asparagus. To do so, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add in your asparagus and cook until bright green and tender, but still somewhat firm.

Immediately drain and rinse under cold water to halt the cooking process. Dry the asparagus and add to a bowl with tofu and scallions. Add your choice of dressing to taste, making sure to toss and coat the vegetables.

You probably think roasting asparagus is pretty straightforward and you are not wrong. Still, there are a few pointers to keep in mind to get the best possible results.

Prep Your Asparagus

Snap or cut the woody ends of your asparagus. Coat the spear with olive oil and season generously with salt and pepper. Allow some space between spears so that the hot air can circulate and create crips and beautifully roasted spears.

Cook It

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The amount of time it will take for the asparagus to be ready depends on the size of the stalk. The official sizes of asparagus range from small to jumbo.

Extra-large stalks can take 8-10 minutes to be fully roasted, while standard stalks take about 6-8 minutes. Oven roasting is not recommended for small stalks because they will become brittle and stringy. 


When done, the spears should be bright green and tender to the touch. If this isn’t the case, cook for an extra one or two minutes.

Healthy soup recipes are so tasty and easy to make. If you want to keep your diet on point, you have to try this creamy asparagus soup.

Ingredients

For the creamy asparagus soup you should get:
5 to 6 cups chicken broth
2 pounds green asparagus
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 chopped large onion
1/4 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

Prepare the asparagus by cutting the tips from 12 pieces, 1 1/2 inches from the ends. Save them on the side. Also, cut the pieces of asparagus into 1/2-inch pieces.

Get a pot and cook the onion together with 2 tablespoons butter at low heat. Once it’s soft, you can include the pieces of asparagus. Season with salt and pepper.

Cook them for 5 minutes, while also stirring. Then, pour 5 cups of broth, let it simmer and cover the pot. You will need to check the asparagus and make sure it’s very soft. This should take 15 to 20 minutes.

While you’re waiting, put the tips in salted boiling water for 3-4 minutes. Take them out and drain the water.

When the asparagus is cooked, place it in a food processor or a blender. It should be smooth and with an even consistency.

Pour it back in the pan, then mix it with the heavy cream. You can add more broth if you prefer it thinner.

When the asparagus soup starts boiling, add the rest of the butter and lemon juice.

Decorate with the asparagus tips in the bowls.

Just fry some eggs and some bacon, making sure to leave the bacon fat in the pan. Sauteé your asparagus in all that fatty goodness until it’s tender and then sprinkle with paprika or an herb of your choice.

Asparagus With An Italian Twist

Any pasta dish is amazing on its own, but why not spice things up with a little asparagus? Once again, this recipe is so easy, screwing it up would take some serious effort.

For this round, we’re going to make a nice, creamy vegan lemon sauce to accompany our pasta and roasted asparagus. To do so, sauteé some minced garlic in a skillet. When it’s just about to brown, add three tablespoons of flour and start whisking.

After 30 seconds, whisk in 2 1/2 cups of almond milk 1/2 cup at a time. Add salt and pepper to taste and then top the finished sauce onto your pasta. To garnish, squeeze a little lemon juice over it all and add in the roasted or grilled asparagus.

The best part about asparagus is that it fits in nearly every cuisine. Even if it doesn’t you can find a way to make it work. Asparagus isn’t always a Chinese staple but it works surprisingly well with this Szechuan-style salad.

Unlike the other recipes, this dish involves boiled asparagus. To do so, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add in your asparagus and cook until bright green and tender, but still somewhat firm.

Immediately drain and rinse under cold water to halt the cooking process. Dry the asparagus and add to a bowl with tofu and scallions. Add your choice of dressing to taste, making sure to toss and coat the vegetables.

Serve immediately and enjoy.

A Complete Vegan Feast

Asparagus is usually seen as a side dish, but when combined with the right veggies, you can make a vegan feast fit for a king. In this recipe, we are making a farro risotto. This replaces the Arborio rice traditionally used in risotto with farro.
