]]>The ice cream parlor Scoops Ahoy was introduced during the show’s fourth season, as Steve Harrington or Robin Buckley’s workplace within the Starcourt Mall. Netflix is now inviting you to set sail on the ocean of delicious flavors from this fictional nautical-themed ice cream shop with their latest Walmart collaboration.
“To help you kick the end of summer blues, Netflix and Walmart are bringing you a whole line of Scoops Ahoy ice cream flavors this fall, all tied to episodes, themes, and characters from the world of Stranger Things,” reads the streamer’s official statement.
Netflix introduced several flavors inspired by the show itself, including U.S.S. Butterscotch, Cinnamon Bun Bytes, Chocolate Pudding, and Triple Decker. The last flavor is the most elaborate – it’s a vanilla and butter ice cream, swirled with maple ribbons, peanut butter, and waffle bites.
Two flavors inspired by the Upside Down are also a part of this launch, including Mint Flare, Pineapple Upside, and the black vanilla ice cream The Void.

]]>First of all, let’s talk about the health benefits. Cottage cheese is packed with protein and calcium, making it a great alternative to traditional ice cream which is often high in sugar and fat. Plus, it’s a great way to sneak some extra nutrients into your diet!
Now onto the fun part—the flavors. You might be thinking, “cottage cheese ice cream? That sounds bland and boring.” But fear not, because there are endless possibilities when it comes to flavor combinations. Some popular choices include strawberry cheesecake, chocolate peanut butter, and lemon blueberry.
The texture is just as important. Cottage cheese gives the ice cream a unique creaminess that you won’t find in regular ice cream. And if you’re worried about any cottage cheese curds, don’t worry – a quick blend in the blender or food processor will smooth it all out.
To make cottage cheese ice cream, simply blend together cottage cheese, sweetener of choice, vanilla extract, and a splash of milk until smooth. Then, freeze the mixture in an ice cream maker until it reaches a creamy consistency.
But that’s just the basic recipe—there are countless variations and additions you can make to customize your cottage cheese ice cream to your liking. For example, you can mix in fresh fruit for a burst of flavor and nutrition, or add cocoa powder for a chocolatey twist.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even experiment with savory flavors like adding herbs or spices, or topping your ice cream with crunchy nuts or seeds. The possibilities are endless!

]]>To date, Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, Colin Kaepernick, and Chance the Rapper have all had flavors made in their honor, with proceeds going to charitable causes. DuVernay’s ice cream will be no different. Part of the profits of every pint (try saying that three times fast…) will go to the A Wrinkle in Time director’s non-profit organization, ARRAY Alliance, which produces and distributes film work made by women and people of color.
“Ice cream is a simple joy of life. A comfort food that I’ve turned to on many days,” DuVernay said. “Partnering with Ben & Jerry’s, a company that I’ve long admired for their commitment to social justice, has been a thrill ride. I had the opportunity to work with food scientists to create a flavor with all the ingredients that I personally love for a cause close to my heart.”
The filmmaker helped to create the flavor which has been named Lights! Caramel! Action! With a vanilla base, salted caramel swirls, graham cracker swirls, and bits of chocolate chip cookie dough, it will be available in both a dairy and non-dairy version.

]]>The best way to soften ice cream is to do it in the refrigerator because it makes the temperature even throughout the carton and the texture consistent. Let it sit in the fridge for 30 minutes.
If you don’t have time to wait for your ice cream to thaw you can cut it. Start by running a sharp knife under hot water to heat it up and then slice the ice cream crosswise and then lengthwise. Heat up the scoop by running it under hot water and then use the scoop to dig into the slices.
This is the quickest way to soften ice cream and probably the most popular. Just put the tub into the microwave and turn the microwave at 30% power for about 30 seconds.

]]>Looking for ideas to make milkshakes that go beyond the traditional chocolate and vanilla flavors? Here are three great ingredients to try.
The world’s favorite cookie to drink in milk, unsurprisingly, also goes great when incorporated into milkshakes. The chocolate cookie breaks into small chunks that spread throughout the milkshake, imbuing the dessert with a crispy, chocolately essence that you’ll love.
One of our favorite milkshake combinations is fresh strawberries with vanilla ice cream. Evoking the classic strawberries and cream dessert, the sweetness and slightly tangy flavor of strawberries blends perfectly inside of a milkshake.
According to a recent survey, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are the favorite candy of 38% of Americans. It’s no surprise, then, that this peanut butter and chocolate candy also goes great inside of a milkshake. You can make it with chocolate or vanilla ice cream, depending on whether you want a chocolate-heavy or a more peanut-butter focused treat.
