Pineapple Margaritas

It’s pretty much impossible to name a version of margaritas more iconic than this one. If you still haven’t mastered the art of making them, try this amazing, beginner-friendly recipe.

Pineapple Jalapeño Margaritas

If you like your cocktails to pack a little bit of spice, adding some jalapeños to the mix is always a good idea. The list of ingredients is pretty similar to the previous cocktail, but jalapeños will help you spice things up.

Grand Marnier Margarita

Blood orange margaritas are never going out of style, and this drink does a great job of putting a twist on the original recipe. Grand Marnier is used to give these margaritas their distinct orange flavor, but the addition of reposado tequila, orange, and lime juice also helps.

“Margarita” might be the first thing that comes to mind when someone mentions cocktails, and the popularity of this beloved beverage isn’t fading away anytime soon. The masterminds behind the food blog The Real Food Dietitians love this cocktail as much as everyone, and they came up with many delicious variations that will make you fall in love with margaritas all over again.

Real Food Margaritas

All margarita newbies out there should start their mixology journey with the basics, and it doesn’t get much better than this recipe. The best thing about this recipe is that sugar can be replaced with natural sweeteners, such as honey or agave syrup, so you’ll basically be making skinny margaritas.

Frozen Pineapple Margaritas

Margaritas come with countless different variations, and this is one of the very best. Pineapple margaritas are one of the most beloved summer cocktails, but you can sip on them all your long if you enjoy delicious cocktails that pack a sweet punch.

Frozen Strawberry Margaritas

Just like all margaritas, this one is made with tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice, but with one small, but significant switch-up. Adding strawberries to the mix will give your cocktail a fruity vibe, and you can even make an alcohol-free version of this drink.

One of our favorite ways of putting an extra kick into our Mexican-inspired dinners is to make a special type of margarita. Instead of preparing the traditional sweet and sour margaritas that are known and beloved by many, we like to add a special touch of spice into ours!

It isn’t too difficult to make spicy margaritas, but it’s important to know which ingredients to use. Check out these additions that can transform a normal margarita into a spicy wonderland.

Jalapeno Peppers

If you search for spicy margarita recipes, the most common ingredient that you will find, by far, is the jalapeno pepper. There’s a good reason for this, as jalapenos are spicy without being overwhelming and add a floral, pleasant taste and smell.

Tajin Spice

In Mexico, you will often find that margaritas are garnished with this spicy combination of Mexican spices. Containing chile peppers, salt, and lime, tajin perfectly complements the sour and sweet character of a classic margarita.

Habanero Peppers

Looking to turn up the temperature a bit? Try muddling habanero peppers and adding them into a margarita! Be careful, however, as jalapenos can end up being overwhelmingly spicy. It’s best to combine them with a sweeter variety of margarita, such as mango.

Ah, can you feel that? Spring is just around the corner, promising warmer temperatures, sunny days, and being able to sip a drink outside on the patio after leaving the cold winter behind.

One of our favorite warm-weather drinks is a margarita, a citrus and tequila-based drink that originates from the country of Mexico. We love lining the rim of our margaritas with certain ingredients that add a special flavor touch to them, and there are my suggestions for three that you will love.

Kosher Salt

The classic and most popular rim lining on a margarita is kosher salt, which works to increase the intensity and the savory nature of the drink by imbuing its citrus flavors with greater depth and clarity.

Chile and Lime

Want to kick things up a notch? Why not add a little bit of chili powder and lime peel to the rim of your margarita glass? Citrus and heat work together brilliantly, and this is a great way to put a unique twist on your drink.

Hot Sauce

That’s right: if used in moderation, a small dose of hot sauce such as Cholula or Valentina can provide an exciting jolt of spiciness to your margarita, which works especially well if you use ingredients such as ancho chile bitters in your personal recipe.
