Kebabs are a food staple amongst Middle Eastern countries such as Turkey, Israel, and Iran. Each cultures have their unique blends, recipes, and spices that will transform your tastebuds and take you on a culinary journey across time. This recipe is Middle Eastern fusion, plant-based, and will make your taste buds dance! Keep reading for a unique twist on Middle Eastern kebabs.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground plant-based meat of choice
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 handful of finely diced mint and parsley
  • 1 Tsp of sumac
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of cumin
  • juice of one lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Large package of cinnamon sticks
  • 3 garlic cloves – minced
  • vegan plain yogurt for dipping sauce, sliced cucumber, and fresh mint

Instructions

  1. Mix your ground beef with onions, herbs, spices, and lemon juice- set aside in the fridge to marinate for an hour
  2. While your meat is marinating in the fridge, prepare your dipping sauce by combining fresh mint with plain yogurt (vegan if you want to keep the recipe plant-based) fresh mint, cucumbers, and lemon zest, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and Salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Once the meat finishes marinating, assemble the meat on the cinnamon sticks until they are fully wrapped around the sticks
  4. Grill the kebabs until they are fully cooked or bake them in the oven at 350 degrees
  5. Serve with a side of rice, grilled veggies, and your dipping sauce, garnish with more fresh herbs, and enjoy!

Cinnamon is one of the most popular spices, making an appearance in sweet and savory dishes in cuisines from around the world. This is great news because it’s one of the healthiest spices out there, with anti-oxidant properties which protect and renew your cells. You may be using cinnamon daily already, but if you need some inspiration on how to get this delicious spice into your cooking, then read on.

Cinnamon and Ginger Spice

Ingredients (serves 3-4):

  • 2 inch piece of ginger, peeled
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 cups of fresh apple juice
  • 1 teaspoon of all-spice
  • 1 apple

Instructions:

  1. In a heavy-based sauce pan, slowly heat the apple juice.
  2. Drop the peeled ginger and cinnamon sticks in.
  3. After 5 minutes, stir the all-spice through the juice. Allow it to heat (but not boil) for another 5 minutes.
  4. Strain the juice into glasses.
  5. Slice the apple into wedges, and drop one into each glass.

Cinnamon Granola

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of oats
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup mixed seeds

Instructions:

  1. In a heavy-based sauce pan, melt the butter and honey together.
  2. Stir the cinnamon and mixed seeds through the butter, and then add the oats.
  3. Coat them well, then transfer to an oven and bake at a low heat for 20 minutes.

Cinnamon Pork Chops

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 4 pork chops
  • 2 apples
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion

Instructions:

  1. In a heavy-based sauce pan, heat the butter.
  2. Chop the apples into small chunks, and then add them to the pan.
  3. Stir in the cinnamon.
  4. Allow the apple to cook through, when it starts disintegrating remove the pan from the heat.
  5. Preheat the oven to 390°F.
  6. In a roasting tin, lay down the pork chops and then coat them with slices of chopped onion and garlic.
  7. Drizzle with a little oil, and then add the apple sauce to the roasting tin.
  8. Cook for 15 minutes in the oven, until browning.
  9. Serve the chops with some of the apple and cinnamon sauce.

When taken in large doses, It supports metabolic function, stops excessive sweating, and lowers blood glucose levels. 🍯 It mildly thins the blood and increases circulation, balancing temperature throughout the body. As the mercury begins to drop and fall approaches, you will undoubtedly begin to see coffee shops begin to advertise pumpkin spice drinks. This food trend caught on earlier this century and has become an autumn fixture throughout the world.

Pumpkin, a squash cultivar that originated in the Americas, is one of the main components of this flavor that has become so popular. It’s sweet and rich and simply tastes “like fall.” But, let’s not forget that the word “spice” comes after the first word in the phrase. Many people don’t even know which spices are the ones that pair so well with pumpkin.

The spices used in this flavoring are essentially the same ones used in pumpkin pies and in pumpkin bread. The first, and heaviest component, is cinammon. Pumpkin spice is usually composed of approximately 50% cinnamon, lending it the one spice flavor you might associate with pumpkin.

Another key ingredient in pumpkin spice is ginger. This spice a spicy and slightly wooden flavor that adds complexity and brings down the sweetness of pumpkin spice.

Instructions:

Get a skillet and preheat it on 275 F degrees. In a bowl mix the vinegar and milk, and set them aside for 5 minutes. In another bowl mix the sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add the egg to the milk mixture. Now include the wet ingredients in the dry and stir them very well. Don’t worry about the lumps.

Start pouring pancakes on the skillet and cook them for 2 minutes per side. When you see that the pancake is turning golden, you can flip it to the other side. Continue the procedure until you’ve used all the batter.

You can now start preparing the apple topping. Mix the butter, cinnamon, apples ad brown sugar in a pan. Cook them over medium heat for 5 minutes. Include the maple syrup as well. Cover the apple cinnamon pancakes with the topping. Bon appetit!

Ingredients:

The ingredient list includes 4 cups unblanched almonds, 2 egg whites, 1/3 cup packed brown sugar, 6 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon salt. Basically, you only need to make sure that you have the almonds, since probably you have everything else from the ingredient list in your kitchen.

Instructions:

Get a large bowl and start beating the egg whites. Include the vanilla extract and beat again. This is when you should add the almonds and make sure they are covered with the mixture. Pour the salt, sugar and cinnamon in. Mix the almonds so that they are completely covered.

Lay them on a baking pan that has been previously greased. Bake them at 300 F degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. You should mix them once while they’re baking. Take the pan out and wait for the cinnamon toasted almonds to cool down. You can eat them right away, or put them in a container and take parts with you at work every day. This is the thing that makes this recipe so great.

Kebabs are a food staple amongst Middle Eastern countries such as Turkey, Israel, and Iran. Each cultures have their unique blends, recipes, and spices that will transform your tastebuds and take you on a culinary journey across time. This recipe is Middle Eastern fusion, plant-based, and will make your taste buds dance! Keep reading for a unique twist on Middle Eastern kebabs.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of ground plant-based meat of choice
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 handful of finely diced mint and parsley
  • 1 Tsp of sumac
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of cumin
  • juice of one lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Large package of cinnamon sticks
  • 3 garlic cloves – minced
  • vegan plain yogurt for dipping sauce, sliced cucumber, and fresh mint

Instructions

  1. Mix your ground beef with onions, herbs, spices, and lemon juice- set aside in the fridge to marinate for an hour
  2. While your meat is marinating in the fridge, prepare your dipping sauce by combining fresh mint with plain yogurt (vegan if you want to keep the recipe plant-based) fresh mint, cucumbers, and lemon zest, 1 tsp of lemon juice, and Salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Once the meat finishes marinating, assemble the meat on the cinnamon sticks until they are fully wrapped around the sticks
  4. Grill the kebabs until they are fully cooked or bake them in the oven at 350 degrees
  5. Serve with a side of rice, grilled veggies, and your dipping sauce, garnish with more fresh herbs, and enjoy!

Cinnamon is one of the most popular spices, making an appearance in sweet and savory dishes in cuisines from around the world. This is great news because it’s one of the healthiest spices out there, with anti-oxidant properties which protect and renew your cells. You may be using cinnamon daily already, but if you need some inspiration on how to get this delicious spice into your cooking, then read on.

Cinnamon and Ginger Spice

Ingredients (serves 3-4):

  • 2 inch piece of ginger, peeled
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 cups of fresh apple juice
  • 1 teaspoon of all-spice
  • 1 apple

Instructions:

  1. In a heavy-based sauce pan, slowly heat the apple juice.
  2. Drop the peeled ginger and cinnamon sticks in.
  3. After 5 minutes, stir the all-spice through the juice. Allow it to heat (but not boil) for another 5 minutes.
  4. Strain the juice into glasses.
  5. Slice the apple into wedges, and drop one into each glass.

Cinnamon Granola

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of oats
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup mixed seeds

Instructions:

  1. In a heavy-based sauce pan, melt the butter and honey together.
  2. Stir the cinnamon and mixed seeds through the butter, and then add the oats.
  3. Coat them well, then transfer to an oven and bake at a low heat for 20 minutes.

Cinnamon Pork Chops

Ingredients (serves 4):

  • 4 pork chops
  • 2 apples
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion

Instructions:

  1. In a heavy-based sauce pan, heat the butter.
  2. Chop the apples into small chunks, and then add them to the pan.
  3. Stir in the cinnamon.
  4. Allow the apple to cook through, when it starts disintegrating remove the pan from the heat.
  5. Preheat the oven to 390°F.
  6. In a roasting tin, lay down the pork chops and then coat them with slices of chopped onion and garlic.
  7. Drizzle with a little oil, and then add the apple sauce to the roasting tin.
  8. Cook for 15 minutes in the oven, until browning.
  9. Serve the chops with some of the apple and cinnamon sauce.

As the mercury begins to drop and fall approaches, you will undoubtedly begin to see coffee shops begin to advertise pumpkin spice drinks. This food trend caught on earlier this century and has become an autumn fixture throughout the world.

Pumpkin, a squash cultivar that originated in the Americas, is one of the main components of this flavor that has become so popular. It’s sweet and rich and simply tastes “like fall.” But, let’s not forget that the word “spice” comes after the first word in the phrase. Many people don’t even know which spices are the ones that pair so well with pumpkin.

The spices used in this flavoring are essentially the same ones used in pumpkin pies and in pumpkin bread. The first, and heaviest component, is cinammon. Pumpkin spice is usually composed of approximately 50% cinnamon, lending it the one spice flavor you might associate with pumpkin.

Instructions:

Get a skillet and preheat it on 275 F degrees. In a bowl mix the vinegar and milk, and set them aside for 5 minutes. In another bowl mix the sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add the egg to the milk mixture. Now include the wet ingredients in the dry and stir them very well. Don’t worry about the lumps.

Start pouring pancakes on the skillet and cook them for 2 minutes per side. When you see that the pancake is turning golden, you can flip it to the other side. Continue the procedure until you’ve used all the batter.

You can now start preparing the apple topping. Mix the butter, cinnamon, apples ad brown sugar in a pan. Cook them over medium heat for 5 minutes. Include the maple syrup as well. Cover the apple cinnamon pancakes with the topping. Bon appetit!

Ingredients:

The ingredient list includes 4 cups unblanched almonds, 2 egg whites, 1/3 cup packed brown sugar, 6 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon salt. Basically, you only need to make sure that you have the almonds, since probably you have everything else from the ingredient list in your kitchen.

Instructions:

Get a large bowl and start beating the egg whites. Include the vanilla extract and beat again. This is when you should add the almonds and make sure they are covered with the mixture. Pour the salt, sugar and cinnamon in. Mix the almonds so that they are completely covered.

Lay them on a baking pan that has been previously greased. Bake them at 300 F degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. You should mix them once while they’re baking. Take the pan out and wait for the cinnamon toasted almonds to cool down. You can eat them right away, or put them in a container and take parts with you at work every day. This is the thing that makes this recipe so great.
