Ingredients

This soup only needs carrots, onions, garlic, and ginger. You can either boil everything in water or stock, whatever you have time to do. In terms of spices, you really can just use salt and pepper, but if you want something more exciting, add in cumin or curry powder.

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop onions and saute them in oil for a few minutes until they start to become translucent.
  2. Dice garlic and ginger and add that into the pot as well.
  3. Slice up carrots any size you want, however, if you want them to cook faster, cut them thin and small.

Almond butter is officially taking over! Forget about peanut butter, this is the new health trend you need in your life. The recipe is so basic that the only thing you need is 3 cups of almonds, or about one pound. They should be unsalted.

Instructions

To prepare the almond butter, you will need a food blender or a processor. Put the almonds in the oven and cook them for 10 minutes at a temperature of 350 F degrees.

Put the almonds in a processor or blender. Use an “S”- shaped blade to turn them into a creamy consistency.

You will notice the almonds turning into a flour-like consistency, and when you continue blending, you will get the wanted butter. It will take some time, but don’t quit, you’ll get there. The whole process can take up to half an hour.

Pico de gallo is one of the tastiest and most well-known salsas, known for its versatility and reliance on fresh ingredients.

This salsa stands out for being flavorful, but for having a mild spice level that allows anyone to enjoy it. Here’s a step-by-step guide for making your own delicious pico de gallo.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium tomatoes
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 1/2 an avocado
  • 2 sprigs of fresh cilantro
  • 1 small jalapeño pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste

Begin by dicing the tomatoes, the avocado, and the red onion into small pieces. The diced pieces should be small enough to have several fit comfortably on a tortilla chip.

It’s important to pair heavier dishes like grilled meat or burgers with light side dishes, and that’s why this light summer salad is a perfect option.

Ingredients

  • 1 large cucumber
  • 2 Roma tomatoes
  • ½ red onion
  • White wine vinegar
  • Olive oil
  • Kosher salt
  • Black pepper

Instructions

Start off the preparation of your salad by washing the tomatoes and the cucumber. Since you’ll leave the skins of these veggies on, it’s important to be sure that they’re clean!

After you’ve done this, dice the cucumber and the Roma tomatoes into relatively small chunks. Set aside.

Next, peel the red onion and then cut it in half. You’ll want to slice the red onion into thin pieces that are small enough to be bite-sized.

Stewed tomatoes are an extremely valuable thing to have on hand in your kitchen.

They have tons of uses, from being the base of pasta sauces to working great as a side dish for Italian-inspired meals.

Here’s an easy stewed tomatoes recipe that you can use for your meals instead of the boring canned variety.

Ingredients

  • 10 large tomatoes or 15 medium-sized Roma tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1 onion

Start off by bringing a very large pot of water to boil. As the water heats up, prepare an ice bath consisting of cold water and ice cubes in another large bowl.

Once the water is boiling, plunge the tomatoes into the water for 30 seconds. After this time is up, immediately dunk the tomatoes into the ice bath that you’ve prepared.

After they’ve cooled down, peel the skin off of the tomatoes with your fingers. It will come off easily.

Slice the skinned tomatoes into bite-sized chunks and set aside. Dice the onion and set aside.

Place another large pot on the stove and set the heat on a medium level. Place the diced tomatoes and onion into the pot, cover, and allow to simmer for 30-45 minutes.

It can be really hard to find easy recipes for healthy snacks. Enjoying chocolate, cookies, chips, puffs all the time is definitely not a good idea. These beet chips are healthy, simple and only require three ingredients.

Ingredients:

These beet chips are literally the easiest snack you’ll ever make. You can use any type of beet that you prefer. For the recipe, you need to get 12 beets, 2 teaspoons celery salt and 1/2 cup olive oil. That’s it, only three simple ingredients.

Instructions:

The first step is to set the oven to preheat on 300 F degrees. You will need baking sheets, covered with parchment paper to place the beet chips on. Wash and peel the beets. A great idea is to mix several different types. Use a slicer to get very thin slices that look like actual chips. Once that’s done, you can get a large bowl and fill it with the slices. Add the olive oil and salt in the bowl and mix the chips very well. If you are using different beats, place them in separate plates. Let the slices in the bowls for 15 to 20 minutes. 

Remove all the liquid from them and you can now set them on the parchment paper. The recommended baking time is between 45 minutes and an hour. Check them out after 45 minutes and if you prefer them ultra-crisp, let the chips inside for extra 15 minutes.

Almond butter is officially taking over! Forget about peanut butter, this is the new health trend you need in your life. If you are not happy with the butter you can buy in the store, there is always the option of making it at home. So many food influencers do that, so you can as well. The whole process takes around half an hour.

The recipe is so basic that the only thing you need is 3 cups of almonds, or about one pound. They should be unsalted.

Instructions

To prepare the almond butter, you will need a food blender or a processor. Put the almonds in the oven and cook them for 10 minutes at a temperature of 350 F degrees.

Put the almonds in a processor or blender. Use an “S”- shaped blade to turn them into a creamy consistency.

You will notice the almonds turning into a flour-like consistency, and when you continue blending, you will get the wanted butter. It will take some time, but don’t quit, you’ll get there. The whole process can take up to half an hour.

When you get that almond butter you can put it in a jar. The best place to keep it is in the fridge. It can actually last up up to a month.

This salsa stands out for being flavorful, but for having a mild spice level that allows anyone to enjoy it. Here’s a step-by-step guide for making your own delicious pico de gallo.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium tomatoes
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 1/2 an avocado
  • 2 sprigs of fresh cilantro
  • 1 small jalapeño pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste

Begin by dicing the tomatoes, the avocado, and the red onion into small pieces. The diced pieces should be small enough to have several fit comfortably on a tortilla chip.

Deseed the jalapeño pepper and dice it into very small pieces.

Add all of the diced vegetables into a serving bowl.

Finish the mixture by adding the small quantities of lime and lemon juice to the bowl. Mix thoroughly with a spoon. Sprinkle with salt to taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 large cucumber
  • 2 Roma tomatoes
  • ½ red onion
  • White wine vinegar
  • Olive oil
  • Kosher salt
  • Black pepper

Instructions

Start off the preparation of your salad by washing the tomatoes and the cucumber. Since you’ll leave the skins of these veggies on, it’s important to be sure that they’re clean!

After you’ve done this, dice the cucumber and the Roma tomatoes into relatively small chunks. Set aside.

Next, peel the red onion and then cut it in half. You’ll want to slice the red onion into thin pieces that are small enough to be bite-sized.

Stewed tomatoes are an extremely valuable thing to have on hand in your kitchen.

They have tons of uses, from being the base of pasta sauces to working great as a side dish for Italian-inspired meals.

Here’s an easy stewed tomatoes recipe that you can use for your meals instead of the boring canned variety.

Ingredients

  • 10 large tomatoes or 15 medium-sized Roma tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1 onion

Start off by bringing a very large pot of water to boil. As the water heats up, prepare an ice bath consisting of cold water and ice cubes in another large bowl.

Once the water is boiling, plunge the tomatoes into the water for 30 seconds. After this time is up, immediately dunk the tomatoes into the ice bath that you’ve prepared.

After they’ve cooled down, peel the skin off of the tomatoes with your fingers. It will come off easily.

Slice the skinned tomatoes into bite-sized chunks and set aside. Dice the onion and set aside.

Place another large pot on the stove and set the heat on a medium level. Place the diced tomatoes and onion into the pot, cover, and allow to simmer for 30-45 minutes.

It can be really hard to find easy recipes for healthy snacks. Enjoying chocolate, cookies, chips, puffs all the time is definitely not a good idea. These beet chips are healthy, simple and only require three ingredients.

Ingredients:

These beet chips are literally the easiest snack you’ll ever make. You can use any type of beet that you prefer. For the recipe, you need to get 12 beets, 2 teaspoons celery salt and 1/2 cup olive oil. That’s it, only three simple ingredients.

Instructions:

The first step is to set the oven to preheat on 300 F degrees. You will need baking sheets, covered with parchment paper to place the beet chips on. Wash and peel the beets. A great idea is to mix several different types. Use a slicer to get very thin slices that look like actual chips. Once that’s done, you can get a large bowl and fill it with the slices. Add the olive oil and salt in the bowl and mix the chips very well. If you are using different beats, place them in separate plates. Let the slices in the bowls for 15 to 20 minutes. 

Remove all the liquid from them and you can now set them on the parchment paper. The recommended baking time is between 45 minutes and an hour. Check them out after 45 minutes and if you prefer them ultra-crisp, let the chips inside for extra 15 minutes.
