Making tomato soup from scratch usually requires a lot of effort, which is why most people prefer to either order it at a restaurant or get the canned version. However, there is an even easier way to enjoy a bowl of comforting tomato soup and you don’t even have to leave your home for that. TikTok food creators have come up with a recipe that allows you to make tomato soup in a few minutes using just three ingredients.

How to Make 3-Ingredient Tomato Soup

There are several variations of three-ingredient tomato soup, but the one we liked the best comes from Irick Wiggins.

To start things off, Wiggins combines one cup of marinara sauce with 1/3 cup of cream (or milk) and 1/3 cup of broth. He then mixes it and microwaves it for three minutes. That is it.

Wiggins’ video with the three-ingredient tomato soup got a lot of attention on TikTok, receiving 17K likes and mostly positive reactions.

Say “YUM” if you would eat this 3-Ingredient Tomato Soup 🍅🥣🤤 To make it: Mix 1 cup marinara sauce, 1/3 cup cream (or milk) and 1/3 cup broth. Heat until warm. I microwaved it for 3 minutes & enjoy 👌 Pro tip: Blend everything together for the best consistency For the quesadilla I just took a low carb tortilla and fried it in butter with American cheese in the middle 😋

There is also a version from @jen.heffer, who uses the same ingredients but combines them in a pot using an immersion blender and heats the soup on a stove. She also recommends adding some seasoning to the soup, including garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper.

(Long caption) If you’re ever wanting a grilled cheese with tomato soup but arent wanting canned tomato soup or to spend over an hour in the kitchen for homemade tomato soup, i HIGHLY recommend getting your favorite jarred tomato sauce, some chicken broth (or you can do water with chicken bullion, thats what i did!) & heavy cream (or milk) then blend it, (if you dont have an immersion blender, you can all everything to a regular blender first, then add to the pot) of course season to your liking! I added in roasted garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, Tony’s & a tad bit of my favvv (ranch seasoning lol) This can also be a very cheap dinner for those needing it! My favorite jarred sauce at Walmart is less than 2$ the bread i got from walmart was 1$ (next time i make this, I’ll be using the cheese singles, which are much cheaper than the cheeses i used today!) if you dont have chicken broth or chicken bullion on hand, you can hust use water! Realistically you dont need water, but i prefer tomato soup to not be so thick! & the heavy whipping cream is completely optional as it is the most expensive item. Nicoise salad is a classic French dish originating in Nice. Along with the delicious taste, the varied textures of this dish help it to stand out from the crowd. This recipe is ideal for a warm summer day when you want a fresh, light meal that is super satisfying. This recipe provides two servings and can easily be doubled. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 can tuna
  • 2 eggs
  • 8-10 new potatoes
  • ½ cup chopped green beans
  • 8-10 cherry tomatoes
  • 4-5 iceberg lettuce leaves 
  • 1 small red onion
  • ½ cup pitted black olives 
  • ¼ cup capers
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl combine the olive oil, vinegar, mustard, and basil leaves and leave to one side. 
  2. Boil the eggs for 6-7 minutes and then add to a bowl of cold water. Leave to one side. 
  3. Bring a pot of salted water to the boil and add the potatoes. After 7 minutes add the green beans. Simmer for 3-5 more minutes and then drain and put to one side. 
  4. Roughly chop the lettuce leaves, halve the cherry tomatoes, finely slice the red onion, and add everything to a large salad bowl. 
  5. Add the olives and capers to the bowl and mix well. 
  6. Chop the potatoes into quarters, add them and the green beans to the salad bowl, pour over the dressing, and stir well. 
  7. Divide the salad into two bowls. Drain the tuna and scatter half over each bowl.
  8. Peel the eggs, slice them into quarters, and place half on top of each bowl. Season with salt and pepper and serve.

Ever find yourself wishing for a lasagna that’s a bit lighter but still packed with flavor? Let’s talk about our eggplant lasagna. This recipe uses thinly sliced eggplant instead of pasta, making it a healthy delight for the taste buds. Let’s get started!

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggplants, sliced lengthwise into 1/4-inch thick slices
  • Salt, to draw out moisture from the eggplant
  • 3 cups marinara sauce, store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Olive oil, for brushing

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Place the eggplant slices on a layer of paper towels and sprinkle both sides with salt. Let them sit for about 10-15 minutes. Pat dry.
  3. Brush with olive oil and bake on a sheet for 20-25 minutes until softened. 
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta, 1/2 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, basil, oregano, and garlic powder. 
  5. In a 9×13 inch dish, layer marinara sauce, baked eggplant, and half the ricotta mixture; repeat. 
  6. Top with remaining mozzarella. 
  7. Cover with foil, bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for 10 more minutes. 
  8. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

It’s easy to overestimate quantities of common ingredients such as rice and vegetables. You may tip what you think looks like two portions of peas into a pan, only to discover that you’ve cooked enough to feed eight people. Luckily, many dishes are best when made using leftovers—just check out this delicious and easy egg fried rice! Use this recipe to make a simple yet delicious dinner from your hardworking leftovers.

Ingredients (to serve 4):

  • 1 1/2 cups of leftover rice
  • 1/2 cup of peas, cooked, frozen or raw
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 cup of assorted vegetables, cooked or raw—such as carrots, broccoli, cauliflower or spinach
  • 2 tablespoons of corn oil
  • 2 teaspoons of soy sauce
  • 4 medium eggs
  • Black pepper, for seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Finely dice the onion.
  2. Heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan.
  3. Add the onion once the oil is hot, keep stirring to avoid the onion sticking or burning.
  4. After 5 minutes, add the peas and vegetables if they are raw. If the peas and vegetables have already been cooked, add them to the onion after 7 minutes of frying.
  5. Once the vegetables have been cooking for 3 minutes, stir the rice in through the pan.
  6. Season with the soy sauce and black pepper.
  7. Whisk the eggs together, then pour over the rice. Stir through well.
  8. After 1 minute, remove the pan from the heat. Continue stirring until the eggs have cooked.
  9. Serve immediately.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tin of diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • A sprinkle of Cajun magic (optional, but highly recommended)

Instructions

  1. Begin by sprinkling the Cajun seasoning generously over both sides of the chicken breasts, rubbing it in gently and evenly.

There are several variations of three-ingredient tomato soup, but the one we liked the best comes from Irick Wiggins.

To start things off, Wiggins combines one cup of marinara sauce with 1/3 cup of cream (or milk) and 1/3 cup of broth. He then mixes it and microwaves it for three minutes. That is it.

Wiggins’ video with the three-ingredient tomato soup got a lot of attention on TikTok, receiving 17K likes and mostly positive reactions.

There is also a version from @jen.heffer, who uses the same ingredients but combines them in a pot using an immersion blender and heats the soup on a stove. She also recommends adding some seasoning to the soup, including garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper.

(Long caption) If you’re ever wanting a grilled cheese with tomato soup but arent wanting canned tomato soup or to spend over an hour in the kitchen for homemade tomato soup, i HIGHLY recommend getting your favorite jarred tomato sauce, some chicken broth (or you can do water with chicken bullion, thats what i did!) & heavy cream (or milk) then blend it, (if you dont have an immersion blender, you can all everything to a regular blender first, then add to the pot) of course season to your liking! I added in roasted garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, Tony’s & a tad bit of my favvv (ranch seasoning lol) This can also be a very cheap dinner for those needing it! My favorite jarred sauce at Walmart is less than 2$ the bread i got from walmart was 1$ (next time i make this, I’ll be using the cheese singles, which are much cheaper than the cheeses i used today!) if you dont have chicken broth or chicken bullion on hand, you can hust use water! Realistically you dont need water, but i prefer tomato soup to not be so thick! & the heavy whipping cream is completely optional as it is the most expensive item. Nicoise salad is a classic French dish originating in Nice. Along with the delicious taste, the varied textures of this dish help it to stand out from the crowd. This recipe is ideal for a warm summer day when you want a fresh, light meal that is super satisfying. This recipe provides two servings and can easily be doubled. 

Ingredients:

  • 1 can tuna
  • 2 eggs
  • 8-10 new potatoes
  • ½ cup chopped green beans
  • 8-10 cherry tomatoes
  • 4-5 iceberg lettuce leaves 
  • 1 small red onion
  • ½ cup pitted black olives 
  • ¼ cup capers
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl combine the olive oil, vinegar, mustard, and basil leaves and leave to one side. 
  2. Boil the eggs for 6-7 minutes and then add to a bowl of cold water. Leave to one side. 
  3. Bring a pot of salted water to the boil and add the potatoes. After 7 minutes add the green beans. Simmer for 3-5 more minutes and then drain and put to one side. 
  4. Roughly chop the lettuce leaves, halve the cherry tomatoes, finely slice the red onion, and add everything to a large salad bowl. 
  5. Add the olives and capers to the bowl and mix well. 
  6. Chop the potatoes into quarters, add them and the green beans to the salad bowl, pour over the dressing, and stir well. 
  7. Divide the salad into two bowls. Drain the tuna and scatter half over each bowl.
  8. Peel the eggs, slice them into quarters, and place half on top of each bowl. Season with salt and pepper and serve.

Ever find yourself wishing for a lasagna that’s a bit lighter but still packed with flavor? Let’s talk about our eggplant lasagna. This recipe uses thinly sliced eggplant instead of pasta, making it a healthy delight for the taste buds. Let’s get started!

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggplants, sliced lengthwise into 1/4-inch thick slices
  • Salt, to draw out moisture from the eggplant
  • 3 cups marinara sauce, store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Olive oil, for brushing

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Place the eggplant slices on a layer of paper towels and sprinkle both sides with salt. Let them sit for about 10-15 minutes. Pat dry.
  3. Brush with olive oil and bake on a sheet for 20-25 minutes until softened. 
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta, 1/2 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, basil, oregano, and garlic powder. 
  5. In a 9×13 inch dish, layer marinara sauce, baked eggplant, and half the ricotta mixture; repeat. 
  6. Top with remaining mozzarella. 
  7. Cover with foil, bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for 10 more minutes. 
  8. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

It’s easy to overestimate quantities of common ingredients such as rice and vegetables. You may tip what you think looks like two portions of peas into a pan, only to discover that you’ve cooked enough to feed eight people. Luckily, many dishes are best when made using leftovers—just check out this delicious and easy egg fried rice! Use this recipe to make a simple yet delicious dinner from your hardworking leftovers.

Ingredients (to serve 4):

  • 1 1/2 cups of leftover rice
  • 1/2 cup of peas, cooked, frozen or raw
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 cup of assorted vegetables, cooked or raw—such as carrots, broccoli, cauliflower or spinach
  • 2 tablespoons of corn oil
  • 2 teaspoons of soy sauce
  • 4 medium eggs
  • Black pepper, for seasoning

Instructions:

  1. Finely dice the onion.
  2. Heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan.
  3. Add the onion once the oil is hot, keep stirring to avoid the onion sticking or burning.
  4. After 5 minutes, add the peas and vegetables if they are raw. If the peas and vegetables have already been cooked, add them to the onion after 7 minutes of frying.
  5. Once the vegetables have been cooking for 3 minutes, stir the rice in through the pan.
  6. Season with the soy sauce and black pepper.
  7. Whisk the eggs together, then pour over the rice. Stir through well.
  8. After 1 minute, remove the pan from the heat. Continue stirring until the eggs have cooked.
  9. Serve immediately.

We’re using a simple, store-bought puff pastry hack that will have this dish oven-ready in no time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, peeled and diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded (rotisserie chicken works great)
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 sheet of store-bought puff pastry, thawed

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions, carrots, and celery, sautéing until soft. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika, cooking for one minute.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tin of diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • A sprinkle of Cajun magic (optional, but highly recommended)

Instructions

  1. Begin by sprinkling the Cajun seasoning generously over both sides of the chicken breasts, rubbing it in gently and evenly.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil shimmers, add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook until they’re golden brown on both sides and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes per side. Set them aside on a plate to rest.
  3. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper. Sauté them until they’re softened and fragrant. Pour in the diced tomatoes and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it cook for a few minutes.

Perhaps you’ve heard of it, and perhaps you haven’t, but either way, it’s about time you gave it a try. Here’s what it is and why you’re going to love it.

Not Your Typical Grill

Shawarma is made not by using your typical barbecue, but it’s just as delicious. No, shawarma is cooked rotisserie style, but vertically instead of horizontally. As far as what’s being cooked, it actually varies. You can go the chicken route, which is essentially baby chicken cutlets that have been seasoned, marinated, and stacked on a rotisserie pole.

But if you’re less about the chicken and enjoy meat more, there are lamb and cow options as well. Indeed, there are many different styles of shawarma, but the consistency lies mainly in how it’s prepared and cooked. Once the shawarma is cooked, it’s cut off of the rotisserie pole and placed in a laffa (a Middle-Eastern bread) or pita, where it’s then accompanied with veggies, hummus, and anything else of your choosing.
