Just because you’ve never heard of Banana Bread Day, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. This is a very real day (well, at least according to the internet), and the ultimate way of celebrating it is by making banana bread at home.

Let’s just get something out of the way before we begin—banana bread is basically banana cake. And it goes perfectly with your morning or afternoon coffee or tea. Now, here’s a ridiculously easy banana bread recipe you should try ASAP.

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas (the riper, the better)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A grain of salt
  • Optional: some chocolate chips or walnuts

Instructions:

  1. Mash the bananas well until you get a smooth mixture (try to make the mixture as uniform as possible, but even if there are some lumps, it will still work, so no worries).
  2. In a large bowl, beat the egg together with the mashed bananas, sugar, oil, and vanilla extract.
  3. Then add the flour, baking powder, and salt, and mix well until you get a uniform texture.
  4. If you want, you can add chocolate chips (as many as you like) or chopped walnuts (same).
  5. Pour the whole thing into a silicone cake mold (preferably a standard rectangle one) and bake for about 30 minutes (or until golden brown) at 375°F.
  6. Voila – you have yourself a banana bread that’s soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, and absolutely delicious.

Black sesame seeds are a staple in Asian cuisine. While they’re commonly used as a topping for salads and noodle dishes, their rich, nutty flavor also works perfectly when incorporated into desserts and sweet treats. For those who like to bake with food coloring, black sesame can also replace artificial dye to create a unique pop of color in cakes and cookies. Whether you’re a seasoned baker or just looking to try something new, read on for a few of our favorite black sesame recipes from popular food bloggers.

Vegan Black Sesame Ice Cream

For an unusual, yet undeniably delicious treat, this ice cream by Chez Jorge does not disappoint. As if black sesame-flavored ice cream weren’t unorthodox enough, it also includes an optional recipe for a soy sauce caramel topping. Both components are 100% vegan and come together easily without an ice cream machine.

Black Sesame Banana Bread

The Great Banana Bread Trend of 2020 may be behind us, but this recipe is one that we’ll continue to turn to for years to come. Cassava flour makes it naturally gluten-free, while coconut sugar and ripe bananas provide a touch of sweetness without being overbearing.

Black Sesame Macarons With Apricot Buttercream

This recipe by Emily Laurae swaps the more obvious choice of black sesame filling with a fresh and floral apricot buttercream. The result is a light, flavorful macaron that perfectly strikes the balance between nutty and fruity.

If you’re still new to baking, banana bread is probably one of the first things you’ll want to make. Most people can’t eat a whole loaf at once, and that’s why it’s important to store it properly. These three tips will help you keep your banana bread for longer by storing it the right way.

Room Temperature

Unless you’re planning to eat your banana bread many days after making it, leaving it at room temperature is totally fine. It can stay fresh for up to four days this way—just remember to put it inside a plastic container with a closed lid so it wouldn’t go soggy.

Refrigerator

You can extend the shelf life of your banana bread for at least a week by putting it inside your fridge. It’s extremely important to wrap it with plastic wrap as tightly as you can so it wouldn’t go dry before you have a chance to eat it.

Freezer

If you made a huge amount of banana bread or simply want to save it for later, you can always place it inside your freezer. It can stay fresh for up to three months, but it’s also recommended to use plastic wrap to help it keep its moisture.

Here are three sweet banana treats that you have to make, or at least try!

Banana bread is one of my favorite recipes to make for a breakfast treat. Using bananas as the base for a sweet bread that can be enjoyed with all kinds of personalized additions, it’s a favorite for families throughout the United States.

Here are some of my top tips for making a good batch of banana bread.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B1B_tc8l7qS/

Use Overripe Bananas

This is one thing that is absolutely crucial for banana bread: do not use green or even yellow bananas! In order to produce the sweetness and smooth consistency that banana bread is known for, you have to use overripe bananas.

Go With Brown Sugar

Instead of white sugar, why not try brown sugar the next time you make banana bread? It yields a richer and more caramelized flavor that imparts a beautiful brown tone on the bread that looks downright tasty.

Put Some Milk in the Batter

You can ensure that your banana bread won’t be dry if you add a little bit of whole milk or buttermilk into the batter. The result will be a moist and decadent banana bread.

Walnuts are a Perfect Addition

Plain banana bread is good, but adding chopped walnuts into the batter and turning it into banana nut bread makes a special treat that you’re guaranteed to fall in love with.

We have tried a few recipes for banana bread over the years and this is probably the very best! It is easy to make and it is a great dessert, very light and delicious when having people over for coffee.

Ingredients:
* 1/2 cup butter
* 1 cup sugar
* 2 eggs, beaten
* 3 or 4 bananes, finely crushed
* 1 1/2 cups flour
* 1 tsp baking soda
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1/2 tsp vanilla abstract

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Mix together butter and sugar
3. Add eggs and crushed bananas and combine well
4. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt
5. Add to the creamy mixture and add vanilla
6. Grease your pan with coconut oil and pour the mixture into it
7. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes

You can also add some chocolate chips or walnuts.

This banana bread is good for a few days and you can even refrigerate it, which we don’t think would be necessary, as it is usually eaten very fast.

Banana bread is one of my favorite recipes to make for a breakfast treat. Using bananas as the base for a sweet bread that can be enjoyed with all kinds of personalized additions, it’s a favorite for families throughout the United States.

Here are some of my top tips for making a good batch of banana bread.

Set the oven to 350 F degrees before you start. Also, prepare a baking pan with paper and cooking spray.

Mix the almond butter, bananas, and vanilla in a bowl either by hand or with an electric mixer. Start adding the eggs, one by one, while also mixing in between.
