Oh, honey, we had no idea you were so good for us!

Bees are required to make 22,700 trips to fill a single jar of honey (imagine all the frequent flier miles!), and each dollop of the golden syrup contains undeniable health benefits.

Contains Antioxidants

Everyone needs more antioxidants. The compound helps to ward off cell damage and decreases the risk of cancer and heart disease. Studies have also been done on mice which show that honey can inhibit the growth of cancer cells.

Heals Cuts and Burns

Research has shown that honey can quicken the healing process when it comes to wounds and burns. So next time you’re out of ointment, dab some honey on the area.

Cures Hangovers

While this has not been entirely proven, we’re still going with it in the hopes of anything to take away the effects of downing too much liquor the night before! Honey possesses fructose which has the ability to speed up the oxidation of alcohol in the liver. Unfortunately, you need to consume quite a lot of the nectar to get the effect.
