These coconut squares are so tasty and easy to prepare! The total cooking time is 30 minutes and you will get 20 bars.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup flour
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions
Start by setting the oven to 350 F degrees. Prepare a 9 x 9 baking dish with a cooking spray.
Get a pan and add the butter. Turn the stove to medium-low heat and wait for the butter to melt.
You can now leave it on and wait for it to start boiling. Make sure that you move the pan all the time so that the butter doesn’t burn.
When it gets a golden brown color you can include the brown sugar. Remove the pan from the heat and mix the two ingredients together.
Add in the vanilla, eggs, baking powder, and salt. Mix again.
Now, pour in the flour and stir the mixture. Finish off with the coconut.
You will get a batter that you should add to the baking dish. Leave it in the oven for 20 minutes.
When it’s done get a knife and cut it into pieces. The coconut squares are done.
