You’ve probably tried out more than a few food combinations featuring McDonald’s milkshake. For example, McDonald’s milkshake and McDonald’s apple pie are a match made in heaven. You might have even dared to dip a few fries in this tasty drink. But what about McDonald’s milkshake and pudding?
Combining McDonald’s milkshake and pudding is quite popular in Japan. The rest of the world was introduced to this unique dessert creation through a viral video posted by TikTok user @jukananan727 earlier this year.
In the clip, the TikToker can be seen opening a package of Japanese pudding known as purin and unloading its contents into a cup with McDonald’s vanilla milkshake. Despite being eye-pleasing, it also seems quite tasty.
@jukananan727’s video ended up getting 8.5 million views, with other TikTok users being intrigued by the combination.
“Japanese desserts are so elite,” one user wrote in the comments section.
“thank you for showing us! i would definitely try this combination,” another one added.
Some users complained about wanting to try the combination but not being able to get purin in the United States. But that shouldn’t stop you. Purin is actually just a Japanese take on Crème caramel, aka flan. Also, there is nothing stopping you from using another kind of pudding. Maybe you can create something even better.
