Extra Holiday Cookies? Here’s How to Use Them

Some people say there can never be enough cookies around the holidays, and it really never hurts to be on the safe side. However, often there will be lots of extra cookies that cannot feasibly get eaten before they go stale. Instead, use them in these delectable recipes!

Cookie Butter

Making your own cookie butter couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is grind up 2 cups worth of cookies of any type. In a saucepan, melt half a stick of butter with 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk and 1/4 cup of evaporated milk. Mix the wet mixture into the cookie crumbs and stir well. Refrigerate for about an hour, and then add in just half a teaspoon of water at a time until it’s really smooth. Store and enjoy!

Cookie Crust

If you want to make any sort of pie, consider making the crust from your leftover cookies! All you have to do is grind them up into crumbs and add in some melted butter, press it into a pan, and you can either turn it into an icebox pie that is not bake or bake it for a few minutes so it sets and then fill it with your favorite filling!
