Everyone knows that when you eat a chicken nugget from a fast food place, you never really know what’s going into them, and that is a little freaky. So, avoid the mystery nuggets and make your own at home! It’s super easy and you’ll feel better knowing you know what is in them.
Recipe
- Cut up 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts into small squares.
- Then, in a shallow dish, combine 1 cup of flour, 1 tablespoon of seasoned salt, and a pinch of regular salt and black pepper.
- In another shallow dish, mix 2 tablespoons of water with 2 eggs.
- Finally, in the last shallow dish, sprinkle in 2 cups of breadcrumbs along with any spices you like, such as paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, or more.
- Dip each piece of chicken first into the flour, then into the egg, then finally roll them in the breadcrumbs.
- Heat up a skillet with about 2 inches of neutral oil over medium heat. Put in a few pieces of chicken at a time depending on how large your skillet is, and cook until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes on each side.
- Allow the nuggets to drain on a paper towel and then serve with your favorite sides and condimentes!
