People who are lactose-intolerant are can’t eat dairy because their bodies are unable to take it. However, that doesn’t mean that everyone else can just eat as much dairy as they like. The very nature of dairy products have a volatile quality that ensures no one can really eat too much of them. Sure, some people’s tolerance is higher than others, but for the most part, moderation is important. Here’s how to know if you’re eating too much dairy.

How Much Per Day?

If you ask us, a bowl of cereal and milk, a few drops of creamer for coffee, and then another dairy meal (either lunch or dinner) is just the line you want to be treading when it comes to dairy intake per day. We don’t recommend eating three meals of dairy per day, but occasionally it’s alright.

How Much Per Week?

It’s also good to think long-term. So that means if you have dairy three times a day, you’d better make sure you don’t have too much the rest of the week. If you’re just too obsessed with dairy that you’re having it three times a day, seven days a week, that’s egregiously too much.
