We have many reasons not to love plastic bags. They are bad for the environment and often so thin they rip as soon as you put something in them. But sometimes the produce section of a grocery store doesn’t give you an option – the only thing they offer for packing delicious fruits and vegetables are said plastic bags.
If you’re even a little bit crafty, you can make your own produce bags from non-plastic materials and carry them with you when you go shopping.
You can use the materials recycled from the things you already have, such as t-shirts, so the cost of making them is really negligible. The video below shows you the process.
