It’s Time To Try Blancmange With This Tasty Recipe

Ingredients

The ingredients include:
1 cup whole milk
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/2 cup granulated sugar
a few drops of vanilla
2 strips lemon peel
1/4 oz package unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup hazelnuts or almonds
2 cardamom pods
flavorless vegetable oil
a pinch of salt and amarena cherries

If you can’t find the cherries, you can use any type of candied fruit that you prefer.

Instructions:

To prepare the blancmange, you have to get a blender or a processor. Blend the nuts to a medium-sized mixture.

Put them together with the lemon peel, 2/3 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of the cream, and cardamom. Mix them all in a saucepan and wait until it starts simmering.

Turn off the stove and leave the mixture for 15 minutes on the side.

Add the gelatin in the remaining milk in a bowl. Wait for 10 minutes.

Strain the mixture with the nuts, making sure that you get all the liquid out of it. Now, combine it with the salt and sugar.

Put the pan on the stove, cooking it on low heat. Pour in the gelatin as well and stir the liquid. Add the vanilla, while mixing constantly. Don’t let it get to a point of simmering.

Prepare a bowl of ice and water, and place the pan in it. Mix several times and wait for the blancmange to get to a consistency that is similar to egg whites.

While you’re waiting you can beat the leftover cream. Get one spoon and include it to the gelatin pan, then pour it all into the whipped cream.

Prepare a cake pan by adding vegetable oil to the walls. Pour the gelatin mixture in and wait for at least 6 hours. Decorate with the cherries.
