Five Guys, the most rapidly growing fast food chain in the US, has nearly more than 1500 existing locations and 1500 locations in development. Although it isn’t exactly known for a very nutritious menu, there are some options that will satisfy a more health-minded meal, according to a nutritionist.

According to a poll in 2017, in which 100,000 Americans participated, Five Guys was ranked as the best burger chain in the US. Even Barack Obama is a fan and is known to order the Five Guys cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, jalapeño peppers, and mustard.

According to the Five Guys menu and its nutrition facts, the regular size serving of fries has 953 calories, about half the calories needed in an entire day, while the large portion has about 1300 calories. A Five Guys cheeseburger, for example, weighs in at 840 calories and when it comes to milkshakes, it only starts at 870 calories with around 20 teaspoons of sugar, and this before adding any of the free mix-ins.

So, if you are trying to stick to the healthier lifestyle and want to eat at Five Guys anyway, you could stick to Five Guys’ healthiest options such as:

  1. Little Hamburger: 480 calories, 26 grams fat, 380 milligrams sodium
  2. Little Cheeseburger (no bun): 290 calories, 30.5 grams fat, 360 milligrams sodium
  3. Hot Dog (no bun): 285 calories, 26 grams fat, 800 milligrams sodium
  4. Veggie Sandwich: 440 calories, 15 grams fat, and 1,040 milligrams sodium
