Lavender is such a wonderful aroma to have in your home, but it’s also very delicious! Make these floral cookies and you’ll see for yourself how delightful lavender really is.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons of dried lavender
- 3/4 pound of room temperature unsalted butter
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 17.5 oz of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Recipe
- First, grind up the lavender with a spice grinder or in a mortar and pestle.
- Then, put the butter, sugar, and lavender into the bowl of a stand mixer and mix it on medium speed with the paddle attachment until well combined.
- Add in the vanilla and beat just for a few seconds, and then pour in the flour and mix only until it’s just incorporated and formed a ball.
- Take the dough out of the bowl, roll it out on a floured surface so it’s about 1/2 inch thick, and use a cookie cutter or just a cup to stamp out the cookies.
- Put the cookies onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and chill in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
- Bake the cookies at 350 F for 20-25 minutes or until they’re a darker pale but not golden, and then cool the cookies on a cooling rack and enjoy!
