There are many different types of tools and utensils you can use for cooking. Let’s take a look at the different types of thermometers for cooking and how to use them.

Instant-Read Thermometer

With this thermometer, you can take the temperature readings of your food instantly. However, you’re not supposed to leave it in the meat while cooking. Simply probe the thermometer, check the reading, then take it out again.

Meat Thermometer

This is a lot like the instant-read thermometer with one key difference. After probing the meat thermometer in the meat, you leave it there while it’s cooking. Then you can easily check the temperature by looking at the dial.

Candy and Deep-Fry Thermometer

These types of thermometer are of glass and are typically used to measure temperatures which are much hotter. Therefore, you can use candy and deep-fry thermometers when cooking sugar or when deep-frying food items.

This is a useful thermometer for checking your oven’s actual temperature. You can use this thermometer to tell if you’re oven has the correct temperature you need for your cooking.

Refrigerator Thermometer

This is similar to the oven thermometer but you use it for your refrigerator. Just place this handy item inside your refrigerator so you know what the temperature is at all times.
