There are always shortcuts when it comes to cooking, whether it be the type of preparations you use, the ingredients you buy, or how you season them. If you want to make your cooking easier but still delicious, follow this shortcut guide.

Pre-Sliced Food

Whether it’s mushrooms, carrot sticks, or something else, buying food that has already been cut up is never a good idea. While it might save you a few minutes, you will almost always pay more for these items when prepping the ingredients really isn’t difficult.

The only exceptions are buying pre-spiralized food if you don’t own a spiralizer and want to occasionally eat zoodles, and sometimes coleslaw mix if you don’t need a lot of cabbage around.

Rotisserie Chicken

Cooking a chicken whole is a really difficult task for some, and if you don’t have the time to cook or learn how to do it, buying pre-made rotisserie chicken is not a bad way to go. Although, it does have a good amount of sodium, so make sure you’re not eating it too often or in large quantities.

Food Processor

Although you might not get consistent cuts, using a food processor to chop up food is a great option to have if you don’t like prepping vegetables or fruits. Use it to help you eat more produce, an awesome shortcut.
