Chicken Marinades That Will Make Your Poultry Fly

Summer is the perfect time to be outside and grilling on the barbecue.

While the bits of charcoal always add a touch of flavor to your meat, the process of grilling can also be quite drying — especially when making chicken.

The best way to prevent your chicken from being anything other than juicy is to marinate it beforehand.

Teriyaki

The Japanese flavors work perfectly on everything from meat and fish, but particularly with chicken. Combine soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, sesame seeds, and some chili if you like a kick.

Honey & Mustard

Your honey will be super happy with this classic combo. Use Dijon mustard with honey, some crushed garlic, and a little bit of lemon.

Lemon & Herb

If you’re seeking something fresh and healthy, this marinade is it. You can go wild with the herbs you choose, but we like using dried basil, coriander, and oregano with some olive oil, crushed garlic, and a generous amount of lemon for zing!

Thai Coconut

Peanut butter and coconut milk are both the MVPs of this second Asian-inspired marinade. Combining flavors like cilantro, ginger, lime, garlic, fish sauce (we know), with peanut butter and coconut milk produces a delightfully creamy sauce from the east.
