Delicious Banana Custard Tart Recipe

Nothing can lift your mood as quickly as a delicious chilled dessert in the hot summer afternoon. Today we bring you our favorite recipe for banana custard tart with puff pastry that you can make quickly and surprise your family with after lunch!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup almond flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas + 2 bananas
  • 1 frozen puff pastry dough

Instructions

  1. Roll the puff pastry dough to fit your round baking pan. Bake as the package instructions say.
  2. Mix sugar, flour, salt, and milk in a pot. Heat on the stove until it becomes thick.
  3. Remove the pot from the stove and add egg yolks one by one, stirring the custard all the time. Mix in the vanilla extract and butter.
  4. Blend 3 ripe bananas and add them to the custard. Put in the fridge to chill.
  5. Slice 2 bananas and spread the slices over the pastry. Pour the chilled custard over.
  6. Decorate with a few more banana slices and put back in the fridge. Chill and serve.
