Is there anyone out there who doesn’t love fried appetizers? Whenever you’re having a cheat day, make sure to spend it with the tastiest food ever.
These fried pickles will give you the motivation to eat healthier for a week, just to have them again and again.
For the fried pickles you should get:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups dill pickle chips
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Make sure that you dry the pickle chips with paper towels.
Get a pan and heat the oil to 375 F degrees.
In a bowl, combine the flour with cayenne pepper, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, Cajun seasoning, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
In a second bowl combine the buttermilk and the egg. Grab a baking tray and line it with paper.
You can start dipping the pickles first in the buttermilk bowl, then in the flour bowl.
When you’re done, place the chips on the baking tray. After you’re done with all of the pickles, start dipping them in flour once again.
You can now start frying the pickle chips in the oil. Serve them with a sauce to your liking.
