If you haven’t tried making cauliflower wings before, get ready for a flavor-packed but still healthy indulgence. These crispy cauliflower wings are not only a vegetarian delight but also a crowd-pleaser that everyone will crave. Here’s how to make them.
Ingredients:
- 1 large cauliflower head
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of milk (plant-based or regular)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 1 cup of buffalo sauce
- 1/4 cup of melted butter (or vegan butter)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until you have a smooth batter.
- Cut up your cauliflower into florets and dip each one into the batter, coating it evenly, and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the cauliflower is golden and crispy.
- While the cauliflower is baking, mix the buffalo sauce and melted butter in a separate bowl.
- Once the cauliflower is done, transfer the florets to a large mixing bowl and pour the buffalo sauce mixture over them. Toss until each piece is generously coated.
- Return the sauced cauliflower to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the wings are crispy and the sauce is caramelized.
