Hellmann’s Wants You to Use Their Mayonnaise in Your Eggnog

Every holiday has its food traditions. Easter gets chocolate, Thanksgiving has turkey (and pumpkin pie), and Christmas… well, Christmas has eggnog.

Not everyone is a fan of the creamy drink which boasts raw eggs as its chief ingredient. After all, you may have heard of a little something called salmonella. But for the brave, eggnog is a symbol of the holidays with its milk, cream, sugar, eggs, and splash of alcohol.

Someone else who is now hopping on the ‘nog bandwagon is Hellmann’s.

The mayonnaise brand is no stranger to eggs (they are, after all, the third ingredient listed on the product) and now wants people to use said mayonnaise to make their eggnog!

The proposal is part of a joint initiative with Muddling Memories, a mixologist team consisting of husband and wife, Cody and Camille Goldstein. According to the recipe provided in Instagram, ¼ cup of Hellmann’s mayo is enough to make 3 servings of the sweet drink.

Keeping in the holiday spirit, the pair has developed a recipe for Snickerdoodle Mayo Cookies as well.

If the idea of mayo-nog sounds appealing to you (but you don’t feel like breaking out your blender), you can also head to Amy Fontaine’s in New York City where the unique beverage will be on the menu from December 1 to 15.
