Have you ever had a bowl of spaghetti or a pizza explode inside of your microwave? These incidents can cause a lot of headache after sauce has spready all over the interior of your kitchen appliance.

Microwaves are one of the first kitchen appliances that tend to get dirty due to the bits of food that sometimes escape from the containers used for heating.

While some people opt to clean the interior of their microwaves with bleach or other harsh, toxic products, did you know that it’s possible to clean yours without needing these things?

In fact, cleaning your microwave can be incredible clean, non-toxic, safe, and easy.

Here’s how.

Start off by pouring a one-third vinegar, two-thirds water mixture into a large bowl. The liquid solution should contain about two cups in total.

After this, take a lemon, cut it in half, and squeeze the juice from the lemon inside of this bowl. Mix all three of these liquid ingredients together.

Once you’ve done this, place the bowl inside of the microwave and microwave it on high for several minutes until it boils and steams up the microwave.

After you’ve removed the bowl, wipe clean with a sponge, and you’re done! Wasn’t that easy?
