Have you ever tried making your own homemade granola bars at home? If you have so, you certainly understand me when I am saying there is a huge different between the granola bars bought in stores and the ones made at home.
But why are homemade granola bars healthier than conventional granola bars?
The answer is easy. Pre-packaged granola bars contain unhealthy foods, refined sugar and fats and are low in fiber and any other nutrients. So why to continue buying them while you can make delicious ones at home?
People associate granola bars with diet and are trying to eat them as a healthy snack, before or after a workout or just in general during a diet. But granola bars bought in stores are not healthy or lower in calories as you may think. The opposite. There is a big amount of sugar that can lead to weight gain, inflammation or even wrinkles and are certainly not good for your teeth, joints, liver, kidney, pancreas and heart.
Instead, you should bake (or can also be non-baked) granola bars at home using different ingredients all the time so it won’t get boring. They are easy to make and healthier to eat. It’s just a matter of using your creativity in the kitchen.
