When it’s warm outside, or when you’re simply craving something cool, a frappe is an unbeatable option.

Coffee frappes, when bought at cafes and coffee shops, are often too expensive. Plus, why spend too much money to buy something when you can make an even better version at home?

Here’s a recipe for a delicious coffee frappe that’s easy to make in the comfort of your own kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup medium to strong coffee (depending on preference)
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • Sugar syrup
    • Made with 25 ml water and 10 g sugar
  • Ice
  • Whipped cream or chocolate syrup, both optional

Instructions

First, start off by brewing a cup of medium-strong to strong coffee, depending on how bitter and strong you want the frappe to be.

Next, make the sugar syrup by adding 10 g of sugar to 25 ml of warm water and stirring.

Now, combine the coffee, sugar syrup, and ice. Add these ingredients to a blender and blend them together until they have made a frappe.

Taste the frappe. If you feel that it needs more sugar syrup, which it might if the coffee is especially strong, feel free to add more and blend.

Finally, serve in a glass with whipped cream and/or chocolate syrup topping, if you’d like. Enjoy!
