Lemon Soy Chicken Drumsticks are Easy and Delicious

Drumsticks are such a great and underrated part of the chicken. Packed with a heavy dose of juicy and tender meat, these legs lend themselves to a variety of recipes.

One of my favorite ways to prepare chicken drumsticks is with lemon juice and soy sauce. Here’s a recipe that shows you how to make this amazingly easy recipe!

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • ¼ cup olive oil

Instructions

Start off by placing your chicken drumsticks, with the skin on, inside of a plastic bag. Add the soy sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic powder to the bag and shake vigorously to coat the drumsticks. Once you’ve done this, press the excess air out of the plastic bag and seal, ensuring that the drumsticks are surrounded by the marinade. Place in the refrigerator and allow to marinate for 2-3 hours.

Next, preheat your oven to 425 F. As the oven preheats, line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and transfer the marinated drumsticks to the foil.

Bake inside of the oven for approximately 20 minutes. Flip the drumsticks after 20 minutes, and allow them to finish cooking for 5-10 more minutes, or when the temperature of the meat has reached 165 F.

Enjoy!
