Let Leftover Turkey Shine Two Ways in These Sandwiches!

There is so much you can do with leftover turkey besides eating it plain! These two different sandwich vehicles for turkey work so well in different ways, but both equally well. Whether you’re a classic sandwich-type or want to switch it up with turkey tacos, leftover turkey has never shined so brightly.

Classic

Start with some good, thick bread, like an artisanal sourdough or Italian loaf. Cut thick slices so it can hold all of the turkey and toppings. Take a couple of slices of lettuce and put that on each slice so it acts as a barrier to soggy bread. Then spread on some cranberry sauce, followed by brie or any other cheese you have, and finally, the turkey. You can eat it just like or jazz it up in a panini press, but anyway you eat it it’s pure deliciousness!

Tacos

Turkey tacos is definitely an underrated Thanksgiving leftover recipe. Just heat up some corn tortillas on the stove to get them a little color. Slice up onions and peppers if you have, sautee them quickly, and add in the turkey to heat it up. Put it into the tacos, top with lime juice and thinly sliced radishes, and eat up!
