Are you looking for a fun way to stay hydrated while still drinking water? Fruit-infused water is just the thing you need! This trend has been on the rise for quite some time and it will completely change the way you drink water, and you can fully embrace it in three short steps.

Slicing Technique

The way you slice your fruits can make or break your infused water. Hard fruits, such as apples, take longer to release flavor, so you should make sure to slice them as thinly as you can. There are no restrictions when it comes to softer fruits, and you can get as creative as you want with them.

Proper Storage

Leaving your infused water at room temperature for longer than two hours won’t do it any favors. You should store it inside the fridge to prevent bacterial growth, but don’t leave it there for too long. It can technically be refrigerated for up to three days, but drinking it within 24 hours is a much better idea.

Additional Ingredients

Fruits aren’t the only thing you can use when making infused water. If you want to take it to the next level, add some herbs and flowers to the mix. In case you’re not sure where to start, lavender, mint, rose petals, and dried hibiscus are always a good idea.
