The best recipes are the fast and delicious ones. Making dessert is usually so hard, because there are so many great options to buy from the store. But once you try these coconut macaroons, you will never get anything from the market ever again!
You will need:
4 cups sweetened shredded coconut
4 egg whites
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup granulated sugar
a dash of salt
Before you start making the coconut macaroons you need to prepare a baking sheet with paper and set the oven to 350 F degrees.
Combine the almond extract, egg whites, salt, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Use a hand mixer to combine everything together. After 2 to 3 minutes you will get a thick mixture.
You can now add the shredded coconut and stir it together with the beaten egg mixture.
Now, create small balls and place them on the baking paper. Leave them in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
You will notice the coconut flakes becoming a little brown. That’s when the macaroons are done!
If you are a fan of chocolate you can also drizzle melted chocolate over your dessert, or even dip them in it.
