Make This Brioche French Toast For Breakfast

This dreamy, creamy French toast is what breakfast dreams are made of. Buttery brioche is the secret to the best French toast you’ve ever had.

Ingredients:

  • 4 thick slices of fresh brioche bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp butter for cooking
  • Maple syrup
  • Fresh berries

Instructions:

  1. In a large baking dish, beat the eggs together well. Whisk in the milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Layer the brioche slices on top of the egg mixture in the baking dish.
  3. Allow the bread to soak for 2 minutes. Gently flip the bread using a spatula and allow to soak for an additional 2 minutes. The bread should soak up almost all of the egg mixture.
  4. Heat a large skillet on medium heat. Melt the butter on the pan.
  5. Carefully transfer the soaked brioche slices into the skillet. Cook until the bottom is golden brown – about 3 minutes.
  6. Flip the slices and cook until the other side is also golden brown, about 3 minutes.
  7. Remove the French toast from the pan and top with maple syrup and fresh berries. Serve immediately.
