During holidays, meals are not complete without pie. The tradition of baking pie for holiday meals started decades ago and isn’t ending anytime soon. Whether you prefer pecan, pumpkin, lemon meringue, apple or mincemeat pie, this snack is an excellent way to end the holiday dinner.

You can also opt for a store-bought pie, but nothing trumps a good homemade pie. It may be stressful to prepare the pie during the holiday rush, but these tips will save you some time.

Easy apple corer

Do you need to prepare the apples quickly? You can use a melon baller for this process. The tool has a sharp edge that can scoop out the core with ease.

Crust Crimper

If you don’t have time for elaborate fluting, use a set of tongs to try out this easy hack. Lay the crust on the pie plate and use the top part of the tong set to press a half-crescent decoration gently on the edge. Do it again, overlapping it slightly for a scalloped pattern.

Crust Protector

If you don’t want to have over-browned edges, you can prevent it by using a disposable pie tin. Use a knife and cut out the bottom. Place the ring in an upturned position on the crust. This shields it during baking.
